I think the problem lies in the fact that the show has some highly talented ensemble cast ( the best after IPK and QH season 1 imo) and to show them all having equal importance in 20 mins, is a hard task to pull off. That's why so many characters get sidelined, like that of Shiva and Thappadiya Mai. But thankfully we have a writer who openly proclaims, story is the Lead (Bravo! Bravo!) and that made me quite happy (a ray of hope that the story will take center stage in the upcoming episodes) because I was really not amused by certain aspects of the show in the recent past. I have only been a reluctant fan of Rudra (thanks to the lovelorn phase) although I love Gautam, and he made the character tolerable for me. But now, I feel Gautam's giving the same cutie-cutie expressions he used to give in Saraswatichandra and that somehow doesn't fit the character of a Garud-in-chief. He simply doesn't command respect, imho.

Leela, the actress is doing fine albeit not extraordinary I guess, she hasn't had enough screen space to display her acting chops properly, yet. Rahil is doing an awesome job as the repulsive, serpentine villain. Again my biggest grouse is he is shown as a completely black villain with nary a shade of grey. Grey makes a character interesting to analyze and that's where this show fails to hold the interest of the thinking audience. Such a shame really.

Its always like that Arshi. The evil are so scared of defeat, they will think in every damn angle and prepare, but the good are sent by nature/God hence come with special powers. One tiny loop hole of the enemy is enough for victory to the good guys. This is what they are trying to portray I feel.

I wrote earlier too that Rudra who couldn't read the Dr.'s prescription was working the computer like a pro. His brain is fully charged. He is handling a gun with ease.

Seema ji and Gautam are the leads of this show as far as I am concerned and Robin Da was hardly present so if we look at it that way, this show is on par with QH's and IPK's ensemble😉

We saw what Gul did to the brilliantly etched characters and actors of IPK, shudder to think if AB was to destroy them the same way! She didn't even spare ASR and Khushi and ruined them too!

That's put me off, so I didn't even bother to see QH.

Even though Gul borrows a lot from Mills and Boon, her characters aren't pretentious and in your face, she is very skillful at character etching, infusing grey in protagonists and antagonists (at least for the first 6 months of the show😆). Asad and Zoya are so much more refined as characters than ASR and KKG and so are the actors who essayed the roles of Asad and Zoya imho. You could give it a watch!

I really hope story remains the lead, because as of now there's far too much emphasis on rudra and his emotions, not enough on the battle for amrit! And now we have gAuti in his original chikna form, back with a vengeance as if saying, bahut ho gayi woh unkempt look, main aisa hi hoon!

Man I expected a lot from this team as they are the makers of DKDM and SC. The direction is B for Brilliant but the inconsistencies in the script have been piling up for sometime now and that really doesn't make the viewing experience smoother. A lot is left for the viewers to imagine themselves without leaving the necessary hints and that's bad news because if the makers WANT the viewers to suspend disbelief, it will not work.

Don't you think they should have opted for the unkempt look, now that Rudra is all, geeky and tech-savvy? His Maya is also barely alive and kickin'.😆
