May be we just have to wait.
In PKD, Pankuri was assumed dead in a landslide. Show takes 2 year leap. (This leap actually happened). We are shown Aditya is in Kullu Manali, searching for Pankuri. He will NOT accept that she is dead. They didn't find a body. But the rest of the family has accepted it, other than Adi's Mom Avantika. She and Adi insist that Pankuri is still alive, and refuse to acknowledge her death!
Then Aditya's father while at a shoot in Lucknow, (he is an actor), meets a girl called Ayesha who looks just like Pankuri. He asks her to help him "free" his son from his delusion that his wife is alive. He wants to show Ayesha have an accident in front of Adi and make Adi believe that Pankuri is dead. There starts the story of Ayesha and she enters Adi's life. He mistakes her for Pankuri. (Not a dead body, but the LIVE version), because he sees her by mistake outside their house. I wont bore you with the rest but he eventually marries Ayesha in a civil ceremony and even though he does not give her Panku status, SHE starts to fall for him. Adi's Mum opposes the marriage!
After around 3 or 4 months of this, they brought back Pankuri by popular demand, and sent Ayesha to Australia. (At least this show does not show endless murders). But the show lost it's charm coz of the third angle, and this was the SAME actress mind you. I heard something similar happened in Rangrasiya. PKD ran for 2.5 years. So it was a long running show. People just didnt want someone else! They wanted Adi-Pankuri. But ratings went down so much after Adi married Ayesha and I stopped watching as well! That was pretty much the beginning of the end! I hope this does not turn the same way!
TM- Sorry for this post, but was explaining to Simran that "dying" was not the problem. The 3rd angle was!
