The reason why Shaad is obsessed about Shashi Kapoor

After watching today's episode I was able to get a better understanding behind Shaad's pursuit of Shashi Kapoor and why he is ready for anything when it comes to maintaining the peace treaty between India and Pakistan. And as per my analysis besides his duty as an army man, its his love for his mother who was very much connected and attached to her homeland i.e. India. He had seen his mother yearn to go back to the place where she lived most of her life and live amongst the people who made her feel like she's at home. His mother would never be happy to see a rift between the two nations hence its quite understood that as he loves his mother lot he would do anything to ensure her soul rests in peace. And this is why I like him even more.

He should actually I hope he does it soon!! He is the second most likeable and adorable male character after Rehaan.

I would have appreciated this story if he had told the truth to this girl! Then I would respect him. But I can't respect and appreciate someone who lies to a person who is trusting them so much! It never ends well! Whatever his motivation is, his methods are flawed!

The only way for this story to be worthy of appreciation is if there is some honesty in it! They could easily have made Shaad tell her the truth, and she could have stayed there out of her own choice, while he was discreetly looking for her family! That way she would trust him as a friend and even when Aahil came back, their emotional connect would be real! In THIS way, it all feels fake coz whatever is happening is only real on HIS side! The fact that they are not really married would have been THEIR secret! Not some big lie!

GK screwed up this narrative! She could have had a lot more support for this story if she had thought it through better! There are a lot of people who appreciate a story for its plot and execution. Not for the facial features of the actors! THAT is the audience she lost by making the story go this way! Unfortunately for her, that is also the audience that keeps the show running!

Facial features alone alone isn't enough to charm an audience you know.. Its also the acting and that is what has made ppl like this guy (VT) irrespective of what the story . But your right the story and its execution is more important as it determines how to utilize an actor's potential in the show. If they had showed Sanam angry at shaad for lying to her and keeping her in the dark but keep it a secret from others anyways then in that case showing them falling for each other would have been more interesting than what it is at the moment..
