Chapter 6

Ishita didn't like how he underestimated himself. Infact she hated how he couldn't even think that someone could love him unconditionally. She could see how hard he was trying to find her ulterior motive. His faith in humanity was lost. Her eyes teared up at his plight, her love was in such darkness all these years and she couldn't do anything to help him out of it. All she did was run and run away from him.

She kept on looking at his angry and bewildered expression for a while. She didn't know what she was doing any more. Her hand involuntarily raised itself, softly ironing the creases of his forehead as it travelled down "Don't worry so much" she could see him go still with shock "You have got wrinkles you see" her words came like soothing whispers.

Raman didn't know whether he was turned on or angry at the current turn of events. He thought he saw her eyes tear up when he asked her about her motive but that was soon replaced by emotions so tender that he couldn't recognize. Her proximity and complete submission didn't help either, he was a man after all.

He held her hand as it reached his jaw and pushed it away "Don't test my patience" he said as he made his way to the door "Stay away from me"

He heard a laugh as he reached the door, her voice followed the laugh "You are afraid Mr. Bhalla"

His jaws tightened as he turned to face her, she continued "you are afraid of me" she said

"What nonsense are you talking"

"You are afraid that you'll start believing me"

He marched at her and pulled her by her waist and she collided with him. Warmth spread across her face but he remained unfazed, he put his face dangerously close to her and whispered hoarsely "I'll never believe you, I don't trust women" he increased his pressure on her waist as his eyes turned dark "And here is a little piece of advice for you... Don't.play.with.fire" he gritted the words out "It'll burn you and stay unfazed. You are old enough to know what's good for you. I won't be this lenient the next time you decide to do something as stupid and childish as this"

He was about to pull away when she wrapped her arms around his neck and tiptoed to his eye level "You know there is one thing that remains unfazed even when it messes with fire?" she pulled him closer and whispered his ears "Its called w.a.t.e.r" She looked at his face to see the desired effect in it "And now I'm going to do something more childish and stupid and I would love to see how the fire reacts"

With that she moved her hand to hold the back of his hair and softly placed her lips onto his. He stilled in his place for seconds before he realized what was happening. Before anger could get into him he realized what those soft lips were trying to do; she was kissing him in the most awkward manner. He almost smiled at the stupid inexperienced girl trying to be bold, trying to be someone she wasn't. He pulled out and smirked at her now red face "How about getting some kissing lessons before you try to kiss me the next time?"

She turned beet root red "I...I I just"

"You are so stupid that I can't even get angry at your stupidity" he said "You can't handle me. I don't even sleep with inexperienced women like you. Don't you see? All you need is a boyfriend not a man" he thought he had said enough for things to settle in her thick skull. But boy was he wrong... so very wrong.

She huffed in anger "Whichever chudail or chudails you are sleeping with, stop that right now"

He looked at her with a are-you-mad expression, but she continued "...and why do I have to take classes from someone else when I have you, you are going to teach me" she said with finality and glared at him "I'm not as shameless as you and you too have to stop your honky ponky business from this moment on"

He looked at her for a long time and sighed. He didn't know what he did to deserve this crazy woman thrown at him but he was tired and he had no energy or reasoning left to counter her. For some strange reason he wasn't even getting angry at her but he had to do something about it soon. With that determination he turned around and left his 'crazy padosi' at her own mercy.

As soon as Raman opened the door, Mihika who had stained her ears on the door fell on him. He muttered a "pagal madrasi" and rushed out of the house.

Mihika composed herself and grinned at Ishita who was busy glaring at the door Raman went through.

"Oh Akka I'm so so so happy" Mihika said jumping in circles around Ishita

"Why are you so happy when I am clearly not even slightly amused" Ishita now turned her glare to Mihika

"I am happy because you are not happy" Mihika grinned holding Ishita by her arms "Joh bhi bolo, Raman Bhalla is a wonderful man. I think I like him now that he doesn't like you. He is such a sensible man. I wish I had a brother like him instead of having a sister as crazy as you and..." Mihika stopped as soon as she saw drops of tears flowing down her sister's inconsolable eyes.

"Oh akka" she said hugging her "What has he done to you"

He closed the window of his room that connected to her balcony. He had seen the sisters hugging each other, one crying, the other consoling before Mihika dragged her inside.

He decided he needed a cold shower to calmly think about this unexpected crazy storm that hit him.

Once in the shower, his mind started racing, he decided to connect the dots

One, she knew him way too well for any stranger.

Two, she seemed crazy and too nave to be plotting anything.

Three, her sister hates him, so that also points to the no plotting thing.

Four, she knew Shagun, that was a huge clue

Five, she went against her family to persue him, that again is point number two and three. He decided to pay less attention to whether she had an ulterior motive and more attention to how she knew him so well. Yes that would solve a lot of his queries.

He rushed out of the shower to call his go-to man, Mihir.

If you want to play the game Miss. Stupid Padosan; then you should know that Raman Bhalla never loses, he laughed at his own thought.

Somewhere above destiny giggled "She isn't the stupid one you fool, its you. You have already started walking towards the light. Don't you see you are laughing...after ages..."
