Episode 8: Spectrum Vs. Vikesh - A Daring Battle
Sanaya stood from the altar, ready to go to the side of the Spectrum. But Vikesh moved his hand in front of her, preventing her from coming forward. "Don't think you can move until I finish these fools off." Vikesh cackled.
"In your dreams, prissy boy!" Krish exclaimed. "We'll take you down with one blow!"
"All right then. Make a move." Vikesh smirked.
"I'll go first." Roshan said.
Roshan started things off by slamming his hands to the ground and launching a thundershock attack down the altar. The priest moved out of the way as the attack made its way towards Vikesh. Vikesh dodged it, pushing Sanaya out of the way onto the ground. To counter the attack, Vikesh launched what appeared to be a star beam attack towards the thundershock. "Is he serious?! He thinks a little star is going to do something?!" Krish laughed. But the starbeam glided across the thundershock attack, absorbing its power and hitting Roshan directly. The others looked on in shock.
"What the heck was that?!" Krish asked.
"Your big mouth always does something." Chaya shook her head.
"So those are the powers of the indigo shard." Sagar said.
"What do you mean, Sagar?" Bhoomi asked.
"Just like Sanaya's orange shard has the powers over day, his indigo shard has powers over night. That means he can use powers relating to space," Sagar explained. "And since we're in Sector Raat, his powers are at full potential."
"That's going to be a problem for us then," Chaya said. "We'll have to wear him out as much as we can."
Chaya jumped upward and formed a shadowball, aiming it towards Vikesh. dodged the shadowball, but Chaya continued to aim more of them at Vikesh, while he continued to dodge. In frustration, Vikesh hit Chaya from behind with another starbeam attack. Chaya fell on Krish, who was just about to attack. "Hey! Get your fifty kilos off of me!" Krish told Chaya. In anger, Chaya smacked Krish in the head as she got up. "There's only one person I want to beat up right now. Don't make me take care of you as well!" Chaya warned as she then got back in the fight.
"Touchy." Krish said in an offended tone.
"Our attacks aren't working on him. We need to try something else." said Bhoomi.
"Diverge his attention. I have a plan." Sagar told Bhoomi.
"You got it." Bhoomi replied.
Bhoomi jumped upward and waved her hands over the ground where large piece of rock formation broke off, levitating upward. She then directed the rock formation towards Vikesh, who managed to get out of the way before he could get hit. But then, Sagar came in launching a water typhoon attack which pushed the rock formation backward, hitting Vikesh from behind along with the water attack. Vikesh crashed to the ground, highly injured while the members of the Spectrum remained standing. Guests had already started to leave from the destructive scene.
"Good work, guys!" Roshan told Sagar and Bhoomi. Krish turned, seeing the three men leaving into the halls. He quietly made his way down into the hall to follow them. Vikesh slowly stood up from the ground, furious as ever.
"How dare you injure the prince of the night?!" Vikesh yelled.
"Prince of the night?! A real prince of the night would have an even number of moonstones in his tower!" Roshan exclaimed.
"You have angrered me. Now I shall show you my vengeance." Vikesh said.
Vikesh closed his eyes as he raised his hands upward. Once he opened them, they glowed a bright indigo color. The same color glow began to form in his hands. After a few seconds, what appeared to be an asteroid had formed in his hands, shocking the rest of the Spectrum. The asteroid was burning with rage and Vikesh immediately threw it towards the Spectrum members. The power of the asteroid blinded the Spectrum members, injuring them in the process. "How can he make asteroids?!" Bhoomi asked in shock.
"What are we supposed to do?! He has us all down!" Chaya said.
"Sanaya, you need to help out!" Roshan told Sanaya.
"How can I?!" Sanaya asked. "My powers are useless without the energy of the sun!"
"All you need is some light! I can give you that!" Roshan said.
Roshan gave his hand to Sanaya to which she looked in confusion. "Sanaya, just do as Roshan says! You have to do something before this asteroid bursts in a matter of moments!" Sagar told Sanaya. Sanaya nodded her head as she then grabbed Roshan's hand. By doing so, Roshan was able to send a charge of static electricity to Sanaya. Rather than being shocked, Sanaya's body was able to absorb the power as she tapped her prism shard, transforming into Spectrum form.
"You really think your power can beat mine?!" Vikesh cackled. "In Sector Raat, only the power of night dominates! You're no match!"
"Just wait and watch!" Sanaya talked back.
While Sanaya continued to hold onto Roshan for the electric power, she raised her other hand, aiming it at Vikesh and enclosing her hands as she began to form a solar beam. The more charge she had, the larger the solar beam became. And then, once it was completely ready, Sanaya launched it right at Vikesh, which took him by surprise as the power took a great impact on him along with the asteroid that bursted.
Once the attack was over, the whole ballroom was a complete wreck. And Vikesh was left, defeated as he laid weak on the floor. "Well then...I guess this wedding has been called off!" Bhoomi exclaimed.
"That was incredible what you both did." Sagar told Roshan and Sanaya.
"And very smart, Roshan. I have to admit that." Sanaya said.
"Well of course it is!" Roshan exclaimed. "And I-"
Before Roshan could finish his sentence, he looked at the wall in shock. "NOOO! NOW THE WALL HAS FORTY NINE MOONSTONES! THAt'S STILL UNEVEN!" Roshan cried.
"And some things never change," Chaya rolled her eyes. "Speaking of which, where's the idiot?"
"Hey guys!" Krish exclaimed as he came back into the ballroom. "Is the party over?!"
"Where have you been this whole time?" Sagar asked Krish. "Anyways, we'll talk later. Let's get back to Master Suri."
"So you went shard hunting while we took on the prince of the night?" Chaya asked Krish, rolling her eyes. Back at Master Suri's tower, the Spectrum had come back and Krish showed four prism shards he had gotten from Vikesh's tower.
"How did you even get these?" Sagar asked Krish.
"I followed his men to some storage room and I found them in there," Krish replied. "Which means I'm in the lead then!"
"Moron. Suri has to decide who they are really won by." Chaya said.
"I watched the entire battle. And it was commendable. I am going to split the four shards evenly between Sagar and Bhoomi and Roshan and Sanaya." Master Suri replied.
"WHAT?!" Krish exclaimed. "Why?!"
"Because both partnerships demonstrated great use of coordination with their powers. Especially Roshan and Sanaya. I never thought you two would learn such technique so soon." Master Suri said.
"What technique, Master Suri?" Sanaya asked.
"Roshan gave off his electric powers to help Sanaya use her solar powers. This looks like the beginning of Spectrum Fusion, where two elemental powers work together in battle. And you two demonstrated that perfectly today," Master Suri explained. "Sagar and Bhoomi, even you two used great combination of water and earth. As for Krish and Chaya...well...you two still need time."
"This is why Sanaya should be my partner!" Krish exclaimed. "After all, she is cuter too!"
Chaya smacked Krish on the back of his head, making him land on the floor with a thud. "And this is why we're now behind!" Chaya said annoyed.
"So that means we're leading with four shards?!" Roshan asked. "Perfect! An even number!"
"What about Vikesh?" Bhoomi asked.
"You're safe from him for now," Master Suri said. "But something tells me...you haven't seen the last of him."
Back in the tower of Sector Raat, Vikesh sat upon his throne, angrily holding onto a wine glass as a servant came to pour some wine into his glass. The servant looked on in fear as Vikesh then threw the glass to the floor, breaking it into pieces. "I may have lost," Vikesh said angrily. "But mark my words...the Spectrum will pay!"
