Hi Geet , I am getting your point. Its sad ultimately it comes down to women's clothing only and not the mentality of men.I liked the hash tag they used for the social cause #ItsNotUsItsYou , which perfectly highlighted that 'mindset' but sadly it didn't play out that way.Nothing was accomplished , it was shallow episode in my opinion.I wished they had properly thought through this.In the end when Sunny Leone promotes her show Splitsvilla ,it just more obvious that the channel wasn't interested to promote this campaign. They wanted us to sympathise with Mukti?Seriously ,and then brush everything under the carpet and party with Sunny Leone..Yeah..its Women power!and then wonder what women wants-->sunny say this as promotion for her Splitvilla show..Crap..crap😡👏
In all this we have the mahaan milaap of Nandini and Mukti🥱The whole point in all this mess they made of the show was to bring in Sunny Leone to promote her show then why ruin the whole track.I was very annoyed with the episode , and the whole campaign thing.

Right now I don't give a damn about others ,just gt my Manan story on track , 😃that's all I ask fo ,badi meherbaani hogi!

Thanks. Great post. Much appreciated...👏

Intent should have been to raise awareness level of such issues. But was this the intent ?
Execution: Sucks on levels from choice of Mukthi to...
Outcome: Some publicity, social media activity. Some fans/stars happy. Some issues brushed under the carpet, some fan reactions muted...Dont know but is PH happy with this outcome ?

So I have mentally switched off from this campaign. And focused on my feel good MANAN moments.

But if CV'S do visit this forum, I definitely want them to take these posts as inputs for better stuff next time... 😊

Thanks 😃
Very very well put👏
I TOTALLY agree..Let's hope they just focus on the story now, without sidelining the leads and stop mocking important issues that matter

@bold: Reminded me of that song, u know which one don't u? :P 'jaise mera tu'

True...intent/hashtag might have been relevant; the execution, the disastrous way in which it played out was just cringeworthy and quite humiliating..

Thank you so much for responding..I hope if they stalk at all, they read through some of these views too😳

This is one great post. I have talked with a friend about that already and we both were thinking the same way like it was good that they AT LEAST spread awareness about this Topic but when it Comes to the Story line it was not good delivered it should have been shown in a different way

THIS!!! Good to read at least one post in this forum, highlighting all the ways in which the campaign "ItsnotUsItsU" went wrong. It was an epic executional fail, one which hurts on a much deeper level than any of the past dud tracks shown in this show so far.

The way they went about using and abusing feminism, just to have Mukti redeemed (because it clearly came across as such), literally forcing it down the viewer's throats, it was all wrong.

Feminism is when you depict the women's rights as an issue, not limit it to matter only when its related to some cause or revenge against rocky-alikes. This should have been much more than that, much more than clothes and casual tit for tats that was shown.
The premise was clear which gave me hope - our wonderfully deeply ingrained patriarchal mindset needs a desperate, immediate rehaul. But where they should have propagated by making space for sensibilities, they decided to just trivialise and minimise the importance of the rights in and of itself.

Epic disappointment in MTV.

THIS! I totally agree with you! unfortunately, no immediate rehauls are available yet, even attempts can go a long way at beginning a conversation for some kind of positive shift in power in this patriarchal society😳

And thanks a lot for reading my post and commenting😃
