Could any other actress have done the role of Pakhi in Lootera?

It seems like Lootera was one of those rare roles which comes once in a lifetime. As Sonakshi said once and she failed to capitalize on it with her releases after that. I couldn't help but think, could anyone else have done the role better? Deepika, perhaps even Peecee? 😉 Please share your thoughts.

I dont want belittle these actresses' range of acting..

but do watch 2nd half of Abhiman or Ishq. Ur heart melts seeing just heroine's face.

Sona was gr8 in Lootera, but the sreenplay let it down. If she was suicidal, she wudnt wait. If she wanted revenge, she had all the opportunities. If she became vegetable, she wudnt care whoz who.

It just ended in no men's land.. yeah.. the leaf tied with a thread in snow.. middle of nowhere.

Jaya's acting in Abhiman left BigB become 2nd best.. just like Lata ji made Kishor da come 2nd best (and Kishorda always said his didi is goddess and hez a bhakt).

Ishq... mostly a masala comedy, in final stages, the acting by kajol and Aamir.. wow..

There r so so so so many.. who can even sleepwalk thru such role.

It wasnt a role that nobody can do.. in fact any actress worth her skills can do it..

i am from this school of thought that any good actor can do anyone's else role. It's just that the movie will be different...it can be better or worse or similar.

Deepika. NO, she would have ruined it.

PC or Kareena could have done it though.

NO.

That role called for a very fine line between overacting and underplaying. In the beginning, she was mischievous, playful but not OTT. Sona captured that perfectly.

In the latter, she was bitter, introverted, full of simmering anger which was contained...Sona caught that perfectly..

There was NO trace of a bollywood heroine in that acting..sonakshi BECAME the character. In feel, in acting, in looks. And i hvnt seen that from any other heroine in any other film except recently, kangana in Queen.

Pee Cee is good but her looks are too modern, esp the lips, kareena cant seem to lose the bollywood aura...Paakhi called for a level of deglamorisation, kareena is not capable of.

PAAKHEE was one of those roles which get written for and played by the one actor who was meant for it.

And i have seen Lootera. Im not just talking.

Both ranveer and sona were perfect for their roles.

No!! Sonakshi did complete justice to the role..as someone mentioned she became Pakhi .For me thts the essence of real acting..when you are not able to seperate an actor from their character.
