The format of the Fame Gurukul show is very flawed.

Whereas roughly 40 lac votes will be recieved for voting 1 contestant (valued at approx. 1.20 crores) - ruprekha will choose the other contestant.......

How can 1 contestant be given such POWER to decide the fate of the other contestants....where is the Logic????????

Ruprekha has so many biases - trained v/s untrained, romantic link with brother, easily influenced........

What gives her the qualification to make such a big decision?????????????????? Make or break a career??????

You should add another criteria - of second highest votes recieved as the tie-breaking vote.

Qazi is getting such flack for coming in by public vote (from students/faculty) - instead they should look at this aspect and understand the sheer power of the vote to be cast by Ruprekha......

I agree...how an they give one person so much power as u mentioned that will eventually make or break comeone's career...

Atleast with Qazi the JANTA is voting him in, but this 2 vote thing seems a little unfair, therefore it makes sense that they're chosoig the person THEY want to hear and see

personally I think this show is flawed, cuz they're giving student vote too much importance

Sorry disagree. If it was all about people's vote then it's nothing but a popularity contest. There has to be some balance. It has been proven without a doubt that the people don't know anything about talent (with Quazi winning each time). I think the Faculty, Jury and Peer voting lends balance.

Well I agree that they should not give students that much power to vote, but there needs to be a limit to public voting as well. They should have made a rule that if one participant enters a danger zone more than three or 4 times, will be picked by either faculty or in some other way.If a student's opinion can be manipulated, same thing can be said about public voting. I am not saying to take the public voting out, but there needs to be a limit.
Other than that....I am not in the favor of student voting. We saw the results when Kirti, Shamit and Arijit went out.....

Rolm - sorry to disagree - off course everybody has a right to their own opinion.....

How much balance can you achieve between 1 person voting against 40 lac votes....

(no judges/faculty - only RR votes)

They will never change the public voting system as it's extremely profitable for them. It's a huge money spinner for them. I think what might need changing is that the student, faculty and Jury vote at the Gala itself and some formula is devised to determine which 2 will be in the danger zone (not 3) and the one receiving the votes from the public comes back into the fold.

You can't look at 40 lacs as that many people. You must consider that one entity. It's the will of the people (1 entity). You cannot give so much importance to one aspect alone or there is no difference between Indian Idol and Gurukul. There has to be something different and more of a balance. If you give that much power to one bloc (people vote) then nobody other than Quazi even stands a chance. And God knows he's the least deserving of them all (I mean all 14)

Hi srishty - eventually every tv show is about the public viewing and trp...

Incase of reality shows, it involves tha public more - since they live with the participants on a daily basis.

There cannot be a "BALANCE" OR "LIMIT" to public voting-its like saying that the Director/actor/producer of a film will decide its a HIT - that is not possible - it is only the PUBLIC who can make such a decision collectively.

Can give you the same example for governments too....

Gosh Malinn is right!!! Also Roops as well as the faculty has a vested interest as they are "interested" parties. So giving Roops the POWER OF 1.2 CRORES is defintiely not balanced!!!
