malinn -- There are many instances when the majority has made the wrong decision. It's very rare that a majority vote actually gets it right on any issue.

My topic states - that value of RR vote is 1.2 crores - agreed that there is multiple voting - but the topic is still valid in terms of value....

Power corrupts - absolute power corrupts absolutely

which is why majority of the world is a democracy....

I disagree completely - obviously people cannot vote on every issue - which is why they make the most important vote - in choosing the person with whose agenda they agree on most....thats the way democracy works - how the govt. works internally - is a beaurocratic issue -

Its like - public choose to buy X brand of toothpaste - which will have maximum market share - how the company works is an internal issue

Bush was chosen twice because he had HEAVY support and very STRONG media connections - power to buy / influence

Bush won because he used different tactics to sacre people off. he put up this pure chistian face who is willing to go to any length to help people. Do you many people voted him because they said, "oh he is a true christian who believes in faith." some people voted him because they were scared that bin ladin will attack again and Bush is the only one who can save them.

These are all tactics. he scared people and people bought in to that.

Bush appealed to peoples idea of religion and self preservation - its an agenda most people agreed with -

since the number of people who believed in him were more than the number of people who did not - he won. he came in the second time because these people still wanted him....its their choice isn't it????

Its a different story - that we believe he is not fit...

Listen, lets not get into politics and that too US politics. let us keep our political views at least out of this forum. it is bad enough we all argue about the contestants. this voting round shud have remained the same and given to the Faculty, unless they changed the rules at the end game since there was so much contention last week about losing arijit and saving qazi. but to leave it to the one in the safe zone and to qazi the gauranteed shoe in.. that is dicey.. what fun if qazi says one and ruprekha one..then what happens? that shud make for some even greater drama !!

I agree with Malinn. Ultimately its public thats seeing u so their liking is the ultimate. U know public can make good films flop and crap films hit (eg Mangal Pandey and Murder). OS in showbiz public rating matterz. They can make u hero or a 0 all in their hands. 😊
