I don't think so. Both movie and Kangana's performace is hyped like anything. Yes she was good but nothing extra ordinary or never seen before type - IMHO.

@zaniax : couldn't agree more to credibility of these awards pt.

YES!

Pee cee might hv the acting chops, but she didnt look like Mary.

Kangana looked, acted, breathed the part..

And compared to arjun Rampal and Saif who won for Hum Tum,

Kangana surely deserved the wonderful out of the box performance..

National award doesnt mean screeching and screaming and contorting ones face to the maximum, it doesnt mean rona dhona hysterics either,

Or angry young man, angry young woman..it means a performance believable in every way..consistent thru out the film, no overacting, no underacting, just the right touch...and all this

Kangana was.
