He proved his mettle as a captain during the test series vs Australia. He is already test captain and he will be ODI and T20 captain once Dhoni retires. I don't think he needs to do anything to prove himself and i don't think they are gonna make someone else a captain either. He does need to learn to calm down and not let the press coverage of his relationship affect him. He was super private about his personal life before he met Anushka but since he decided to go public, he has to deal with the press intrusion. Maybe Anushka can help him with that.

Ganguly came out and supported VK and Anushka. Very nice of him to do that. 👏

That is such a cheap ass tweet. How the hell is that going to affect their relationship? If anything, I sure as hell hope this makes their relationship better and stronger. Its outrageous all the hate she has been receiving. If you can't be with each other in bad times, then you sure as hell don't deserve to be together in good times.

omggg Ganguly rocks...amazing support by him!!👏👏 woahhh i totally forgot kohli got 5 hundreds in 4 months in Aus..and still the fanatics r abusing him😡 Anushka is used to the media intrusion on her personal life as she is from bollywood while virat needs to learn to block it all out and eventually the media will lose interest n stop barking. He should take posh and beckham as example.

Sydney: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly today lashed out at people who attacked Anushka Sharma for Virat Kohli's failure with the bat in the cricket World Cup semifinal against Australia, saying that it showed their immaturity.

After actress Anushka was attacked by the twitterati, Ganguly said it's sad to see the mindset of such people.

"What wrong Anushka has done? She had only gone to see a cricket match like the families of other players. It is unfair to blame her for Kohli's performance. It is the immaturity of people (criticising Anushka)," said the former captain.

"When two people are in love, there is nothing wrong in that," Ganguly added. 👏👏

Kohli scored just one run as India were thrashed by Australia by 95 runs in the second semifinal of the cricket World Cup at the SCG.

Its really great to see Ganguly support them like this. Yes! He scored 4 tons in 4 test matches and 1 hundred vs Pakistan in the world cup. But haters won't applaud him for that. They will bash him for his one mistake which I am sure he regrets. 😡

When Virat abused that reporter, VVS Laxman told NDTV, Anushka is VK's family and reporters should leave them alone and cover cricket. 👏

What? Iza tweeted about Anushka? Where? I don't see the tweet? I think she is jealous of Anushka because VK shows his affection for Anushka openly. He never talked about relationship with Iza anywhere. 😆

Anushka has got amazing support from everyone on twitter and all around in general. They didn't support her during the england tour coz probably they didn't know at that time if she has affected his game. But since then he has been in great form and ppl have realized she didn't affect his cricket n that this is a real relationship. ppl forget that cricket is Virat's life n he wouldn't be with a girl if he felt affected his game or career adversely.
