Yes Roka and engagement is different... Roka is just a public declaration of the relationship.. Engagement is when the duo exchanges ring.. can have both functions together as well then it becomes roka cum engagement.. Actually it's the parties involved in the relation personal call if they want both the functions together or may be separately.. Reasons may be many like expenses or may be some important relatives travel issues... Roka is actually a public confirmation so kinda assurance to both the families that now reputation is at stake...
