The series IKNMP has immense potential wrt the story and the lead characters.. Sadly the makers have just scratched the surface.
here is my take on how Nachiket should find out about Ragini's fake marriage to Aman

It was one of those mornings Nachiket dreaded leaving the bed.. He was too low onenergy to get dressed and go to hospital. Aman's hospital- the man who was now married to the love of his life. Even though Aman was a nice man, Nachiket couldnt stand him for the simple fact that he was now an inseparable part of Ragini's life. A part he always wished was reserved exclusively for him. He decided to give work a miss, something he hadnt done in as long as he could remember.

He was angry with himself that Ragini still had so much control over his emotions. Even though she had moved on and Nachiket was getting engaged in couple of days, he couldnt get her out of his head even for a moment. All his thoughts revolved around her and their memories. His anger at her not trusting him,his anger at letting him go away breaking their marriage..

His thoughts were interrupted by a chirpy Agam barging into his room. He had finally come back from his mom's home and couldnt talk about anything except her.

It mildly irritated Nachiket that Agam spoke so much about Ragini..on the other hand, he wanted to know as much about her as he could without asking any questions or seeming interested. He wanted to know how much Ragini's life has changed since they separated. The Ragini he knew had a very predictable and set lifestyle. He thought he can still tell exactly what she would be doing at a particular hour, he was curious to know if he really knew Ragini that well, or have they become strangers as they pretend to be when their paths cross..

Agam was going on and on about food Ragini cooked for him, stuff they spoke about, the way she patted her head. Nachiket was pretending that he was not listening to Agam, in fact he was hanging on to each work Agam was saying. He was visualising Ragini in the kitchen focussing on whipping up a nice meal for their son just like she did for him in the good old days. He couldnt stop a sigh escaping from his lips.

What he next heard startled nachiket. Agam was telling him about the night he slept next to his mom cuddled in her arms. The best night of his life. Something he had missed as a kid and now wanted to treasure this one night forever.

Nachiket became very tensed. His mind was full of conflicting thoughts. How did Agam walk into Ragini's room and sleep with her? Where was Aman? Are things not fine between them? Is Ragini not happy in her marriage? Has she not found happiness once again in her marriage? A part of Nachiket wished this was true! It would mean he and Ragini still had hope of resolving their issues and getting together. However that was the jelous side of Nachiket. The Nachiket who really loved Ragini with all his heart was worried sick. He wanted Ragini happy! With or without him..He couldnt bear the thought of Ragini suffering another unsuccessful marriage in silence all alone.

Nachiket stopped Agam midway in his chatter and inquired whereAman was that night. Agam laughed out loud. 'come on dad! What sort of question is that? Aman uncle was in his house and Mom and Nani were sleeping as usual in Mom's bedroom! Mom made some space for me as well in the bed' Agam started laughing uncontrollably.

Suddenly everything became crystal clear in Nachiket's head. He understood why he never found Aman in Ragini's house when he landed there unannounced. Though he had seen love and reverence in Aman's eyes for Ragini, He always noticed Ragini's aloofness towards Aman. But then he brushed it aside as her general behaviour of trying to show that she is not the emotional one.. Now it was clear she was faking a marriage! Why was she doing it? Did she want him to feel jelous? Did she want to keep him away from her life? Why ragini why! His first feelings were that of relief. His Ragini had not moved on. She was just as must stuck in the past as he was. Probably she also thought of him as much as he did of her and the time they spent together.

However the feeling of relief was replaced with extreme anger almost immediately. Nachiket just could not believe Ragini did this to him! Ragini wanted him to believe that she has moved on? She was being indifferent to him and his presence , his impending engagement with Nivedita! The Stubborn woman hasnt changed a bit in years..

Nachiket got up to get dressed up for work. He was not weary of facing Ragini and Aman anymore. He was going to go ahead and get engaged to Nivedita unless Ragini stops him. Unless she tells him that she is still in love with him and wants them to work things out between them. She knows how it would have broken Nachiket to see Ragini with someone else, still she decided to fake a marriage! Still she decided to not stop his engagement. He was getting enraged.. there was not going to be a change in plans..he was going ahead with the engagement. Only change in plans would be he would personally invite Ragini to be there. He was again half hoping that Ragini will stop him this time.

Ragini and Nachiket's ego and stubbornness was going to ruin their life once more.

Just Wonderful ... Please keep writing the next sequence to this version of yours which you have started.. Almost every IKNMP fans want this version , forget the CVs and NB, they are surely gonna ruin the story with unnecessary twists & turns. We want our own alternate story and you've been doing it wonderfully.. Your take on Agham (or the children) bringing out the fake marriage is far far better and apt than any other character disclosing it. The children also need a bigger character to play in their parent's life ,unlike rubbish quarrels, love triangles etc.. Please continue .. We're Loving It ..

This was so exciting to read!
Glad to see you're take on this and this was so logical, like which we can never expect from the makers as it involves logic lol
But you're an amazing writer! Where were you hiding man!
It was relatable, logical, had emotions to the core and hence i loved it.
Keep writing!

Beautifully written, true to their characters. Except if I were in love like Nachiket is supposedly in love with Ragini, I wouldn't throw away a second chance at happiness, young and foolish as they were fifteen years ago is one thing, mature and stupid, at their current ages, would be unpardonable, alas!

Totally agree with you.

Thanks Mani for putting this up. Beautifully written and true to all characters. Loved the fact that it's Aagam who unknowingly tells the truth to Nachiket, though in reality I believe he will need so me more sharp jabs to get the entire picture together. In fact, he has all the clues laid down in fcont of him, but is still not working on it.

Please do continue. 👏

@ManiChakr
Neither did I ever watch daily soaps .. Ronit Roy forced me to watch his show .. He's such a versatile actor. If you've watched Udaan & Ugly who'll know how good an actor he is.. and if he gets directors like Anurag Kashyap to work with , he does WONDERS .. Sadly, the script writers & Directors ought to give more efforts to their job and bring out the best in him .. Pallavi Kulkarni is doing a commendable job by playing opposite to RR .. a very though job though, and she is doing it perfectly ..
Why can't we have good story writers in the Show ? Just like Films are not always about money .. Daily Soaps should also never always be for TRPs .. Someone please make NB understand this .. It would really hurt to see her "kill" this show 🤢

ego is a difficult thing to get rid off..otherwise Nachiket would not have stayed away from ragini for 15 years and there would be no story :). thanks for the encouragement..
in my story Nachiket would not marry nivedita. it would stop at the engagement. however not putting my money on NB. every character has to marry so many times in these shows that u would break ur head if u have to draw a family tree 😈
