OS: DurVan
On one day Avanti was as usual in her shop, and her shop was going smoothly. Suprisingly there was no disturbance due to Virat, because he was busy with his own work. In afternoon, Avanti was just sitting because there was no customer, so she thought lets call DJ to her shop, to chill out, so she called DJ
DJ picked up the call
"Ha bol Avanti"
Avanti "DJ kaha hai tu, sun na mere dukan pea a na, mujhe bore ho raha hai. Tu ayegi to maza karenge hum dono"
DJ "Aree nahi Avanti, actually m on my periods so, mujhe bohot jyada dard ho raha hai... U know na my problem in these days, I can't bear the pain. Sorry yaar"
Avanti "Ohho aacha thik hai tu aaram kar, aur kuch bhi kaam mat kar. Jyada dard ho to mujhe call kar,maii aati hu. Tu kehti hai to mai aau kya abhi" (tensed)
DJ "Aree nahi Avanti, mai aaram kar lungi, tu dukan chodke mat aa.. Aur wasie bhi kaam kya karungi, mujhe kisi ko chune ki bhi permission nahi hai.. Achoot(untouchable) hu na mai (making sad face)"
Avanti "ha, sahi kaha.. phir bhi aaram kar.. mai sham ko aati hu tere ghar. Bye (ends the call)"
In DJ's home
DJ "Amma, thodi chai(tea) de do na"
Amma "Durga, tumhe pata hai na ki inn dino mai, mai tumhe chuu(touch) nahi kar sakti. Agar tumhare papa ko pata chal gaya to"
DJ(angrily) "Kaise ajeeb log hai, yaha meri dard mai halat bekar ho rahi hai, aur inn logonko abhi bhi apne believes paalne hai. Isse aacha mai Avanti ke paas jaati hu, kam se kam aacha to lagega."
DJ angrily leaves for Avanti's shop. She reaches her shop and sees Avanti busy with some customers, she thought
"Avanti bohot busy lag rahi hai, agar mai abhi iss halat mai uske pass gayi to wo apne customers ko attend karegi ya mujhe dekhegi."
DJ changes her mind and goes at Banarasi ghat. She sits there and is sad of her parents behavior towards her in these days. Because in these days, a girl needs support of someone because she is going through lot of pain.
DJ "Aahhha, ohho no, aur bhi bohot jyada pain hone laga" she holded her waist as it was paining like hell.
At that time Bhuvan came
"Kya hua, tum aise apni kamar pakadke kyu baithi ho. Wo bhi akele iss ghat pe"
DJ "Kuch nahi, wo bas asehi.. Avanti apne shop pe busy hai to mai usko disturb nahi karna chahti thi isiliye mai yaha aa gayi"
Bhuvan " okkk" and he sits beside her
DJ again gets cramps "Ohho no shit, ohho god bohot jyada pain ho raha hai"
Bhuvan gets little tensed
"Kya hua Durga, kaha dard ho raha hai."
DJ was tensed as to how to explain Bhuvan why is it paining
"Aree kuch nahi, wo jara kal bohot kaam kar liya na ghar pe, isiliye thodi kamar dard kar rahi hai."
Bhuvan "acha thik hai" again he keeps quite and continues to sit beside her
DJ's pain is not at all reducing, dur to Bhuvan sitting beside her she cant even moan with pain in front of him. If again he asked her what happened then what answer she is going to give.
Whenever DJ was feeling pain she used to change her sitting position to reduce the pain somehow, and in every 1 minute she changes her position. Bhuvan noticed all these things and also he noticed the changing expression of DJ.
Bhuvan "Abhi chup chap bolo kya hua hai. Kabse dekh raha hu, tum yaha waha hil rahi ho, thik se baitho na shaanti se. Aur kya hua hai, bolo, tumhari shakal dekhke pata chal raha hai ki pain bohot jyada hai. Sach bolna, yeh pain tumhe kal ke kaam ki wajah se nahi ho raha na"
DJ gave expression as she was going to get caught. Bhuvan noticed her changing expression
DJ "Nahi baba, kal mene bohot kaam kiya na saaman uthane ka isiliye dard ho raha hai.
Bhuvan "Mene sach pucha, aur ek jhoot nahi bolne ko nahi bola"
DJ now came to know that she cant win this battle with him so decided to tell him the truth. She somehow gathered her guts and said
"Wo Bhuvan, actually... Wo" she was fidgeting with the words and was not knowing how to tell him. There Bhuvan was silently waiting her to tell him
"Wo Bhuvan mujhe isiliye pain ho raha hai kyunki... (she took a deep breath and said) kyunki m on my periods"
Bhuvan expression changed and he said
"Bas, itni si baat...??? To itni der bataya kyu nahi...??? Kabse mai puch raha tha kya hua, kya hua, tabhi kyu nahi bataya."
DJ Looked at him in surprise " Tumhe ajeeb nahi laga jab mene tumhe yeh baat batayi"
Bhuvan "Usme ajeeb lagne wali baat kya hai..?? yeh to natural hai, and inn days mai ladki ko pain hota hai. Ha I know m lawyer, but thodi bohot biology aati hai mujhe" he chuckled
He continues "Agar itna pain ho raha hai, to ghar kyu nahi jaati, rest kar lo na"
DJ "Ulta ghar jaungi, to aur jyada pain hoga amma aur papa ka behavior dekhungi to"
Bhuvan was confused " Matlab"
DJ "Pata nahi kyu, par mere parents sochte hai ki agar kisi ladki ko periods aaye to wo ashudh (impure) hai aur usko achoot (untouchable) ki tarah behave karte hai. Aaj ek cup chai maangi maa se to maa ne dene se inkaar kar diya kyunki wo mujhe choo lenge, kal papa ko puja ke liye phool diye to baras pade mujhpe, aur bola ki mene bhagwaan ko ashudh kar diya. Ab tum hi bolo, aisa kabhi hota hai kya. Ulta inn dino mai uss ladki ke saath rehna chahiye, kyunki usko bohot pain hota hai. Ahha, ouch (again starts paining) aur yeh log aisa karte hai. Isiliye mai chali aayi kyunki agar mai uss ghar mai rukti to ek bimar patient ki tarah meko lagta hai." She was in tears by now due to pain and also behavior of her mom dad.
Bhuvan kept silent for a minute and said
"Chalo"
DJ "Kaha"
Bhuvan "Mere ghar"
DJ "Par kyu"
Bhuvan "Tum chalo to sahi" He takes her to his house and goes out
DJ sits on the sofa waiting for him, thinking "Yeh mujhe yaha kyu laya hai"
After sometime Bhuvan comes with a juice and something to eat for DJ. He tells her
"Ye lo juice aur kuch khaalo, aur baadme waha mera bedroom hai, waha jaake aaram karo. Mai tumhare liye hot bag leke aata hu. "
DJ was feeling little awkward to go to his bedroom. Bhuvan sensed her awkwardness and said
"Don't worry mai bedroom mai nahi aunga. Tumhe bohot pain ho raha hai na, isiliye bola jao aaram karo. Tum ghar to jaogi nahi aur na Avanti ke pass jaogi, to isiliye mene tumhe yaha laya. Jao tum aaram karo, mai hot bag leke aata hu. " He goes out and comes back after sometime with hot bag. He gives to her and tells her to take rest
Bhuvan "Aur ha, mai yahi bahar hu, kuch chahiye to bol do. Agar awaz dene par bhi mai nahi aya to baju mai Laxmi chichi hai, tum unhe bula sakti ho. Yaha pe koi tumhe tumhare parents ki tarah treat nahi karega. Ok..???"
DJ was touched by his gestures and care.
"Thanks Bhuvan, thank you so much."
Bhuvan smiled "Aaram karo abhi" and goes out
DJ had the food and juice which Bhuvan brought for her and lays on the bed by keeping hot bag under her waist were it is paining. After sometime she goes to sleep. Bhuvan after sometime comes and check whether she is fine, and saw that she is sleeping. From inside Bhuvan felt relief that atleast he helped DJ reduce her pain. He came outside and called Avanti
"Hello, Avanti"
Avanti "Ha bolo Bhuvan"
Bhuvan "Suno, DJ mere ghar pe hai"
Avanti was surprised " Kya, par DJ tumhare ghar pe kya kar rahi hai
Bhuvan "Aree wo DJ ne mujhe bataya ki usko periods hai and also it was paining, and tumhe to pata hoga uske ghar wale inn dino mai uske saath kya karte hai, isiliye mai use yaha leke aya. Aur wo tumhare shop bhi nahi aayi kyunki tum busy thi agar aisi haalat mai Durga tumhare shop pe aati to tum customers pe dhyan nahi deti. So isliye wo tumhare pass bhi nahi aayi. Abhi ek kaam karo, waise shaam ho gayi hai, abhi use ghar jana chahiye, mai usko iss halat mai ghar nahi bhej sakta to tum aa jao yaha."
Avanti "Thik hai mai aati hu"
Avanti reached Bhuvan's house and saw DJ sleeping. She wakes her up and ask
"Abhi kaisa lag raha hai tumhe"
DJ "Thik hu abhi, thanks to Bhuvan, usne mera bohot khayal rakha" looking at Bhuvan
Avanti "Chalo ab, sham ho gayi hai, ghar jana chahiye tumhe abhi"
DJ "Par Avanti mujhe aaj ghar nahi jana, mai tere ghar aau kya"
Avanti "Aree neki aur puch puch chal na. Tumhare amma papa ko mai mana lungi"
DJ "okk"
Avanti and DJ was going to leave but before leaving
Avanti "Thanks Bhuvan, DJ ka khayal rakhne ke liye"
Bhuvan "Aree usme kya, its ok"
DJ "Thank you soo much Bhuvan , aaj mujhe bohot aacha laga, pehli baar laga ki kisine mujhe aachi baat ki inn dino mai. Thanks you so much"
Bhuvan said nothing and just smiled. Avanti and DJ bid him good bye and proceeded to Avanti's home
Avanti "Kya baat hai DJ, aaj to tum uske bedroom tak pohoch gayi, wow, tu to badi fast nikli.. chupa rustam"
DJ "aisa kuch nahi hai Avanti, wo bas mujhe bohot pain ho raha tha isiliye wo mujhe leke aaya, and usne bedroom mai kadam tak nahi rakha jab tak mai thi andar. Wo bohot aacha hai Avanti"
Avanti "Hmm sahi kaha" and looks at her who was smiling unknowingly
Avanti taunted her "Kya baat hai smile shile kar rahi ho aaj kal, hmm hmm... kahi Bhuvan ki to nahi yaad aa rahi hai. Koi baat nahi mai abhi usko phone karti hu, tab tum dono dher saari baat karna hai." And she acts as if she was going to dial. DJ runs behind Avanti to stop her from doing that. And both the friends reach Avanti's home running all the way.
Here Bhuvan was retiring to his bed , he laid on his bed and suddenly remembered that it is the same bed on which DJ slept a few hpurs ago. He got a flashback of his and DJ's sweet and bitter encounter and smiled. And also during flashback unknowingly he said "Pagal" thinking of Durga. And he slept peacefully.
