Technical Tuesday is something we are really warming up to. We hope you like this segment. In today's Technical Tuesday segment, we bring you Underwater shot of Surbhi Jyoti.
The scene was where Surbhi Jyoti's character Sanam Ahmed Khan has rolled down a hill and falls into river in unconscious state and is carried by waves to another country.
To get the shot of her underwater, the team had devised a way out. A short cut so to speak to keep in mind Surbhi's phobia of water in mind, also the cost of actually shooting an underwater sequence be it in a swimming pool with right equipment and strong swimmers who would need to be underwater.
The difficulty of canning a shot like that is of course the camera needs to be water proof and yes one can use something like a GoPro for this.GoPro, Inc.(formerly Woodman Labs, Inc), an American corporation that develops, manufactures and markets high-definition personal cameras, often used in extreme-action video photography. They are compact, lightweight, rugged, and are wearable or mountable on vehicles. The cameras capture still photos or video in HD through a wide-angle lens. What the team of Qubool Hai did is they took a glass tank (yes, it was specifically made), with the glass at the bottom being thin enough to get right focus of the subject and shoot Surbhi Jyoti through it.
