Has TMKOC surpassed all the hindi comedy shows?

In almost every article on tmkoc, I read that it is the best comedy show ever on indian television.
So has it surpassed all the great comedy shows like Wagle ki duniya, Yeh jo hai zindagi,Shrimaan Shrimati,Tu tu main main,Hum Paanch and the recent ones like Khichdi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai?
Many people including me don't remember the first 2 serials but those 2 serials will always be called the evergreen and best comedy shows.

For me,tmkoc may go miles ahead of these serials in the category of longest running comedy serial but content wise it's still behind Khichdi and Sarabhai...These serials were comedy serials in the true sense of the word and one will end up laughing after each episode. But not all episodes of tmkoc has comedy.Most of the episodes are filler episodes and the comedy too is quite repetitive and has become somewhat stale.
This is my personal opinion.

I really don't remember about the first two like you but even Shriman Shrimati was much better show than TMKOC if you compare them content wise. The original TMKOC was a great show.

About Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, I don't even want to say TMKOC is anywhere close to it. That show was about comedy only. No pravachans or social messages but pure comedy. Around 34 episodes it gave us all of them can be watched again and again because of the comedy timing of the actors.

Khichdi first season was awesome and one could relate to the mad family. The second season was only thik thak to me. It could not take the show to another level.

About TMKOC, these days all the articles decide the quality and the success of the show with how long it ran. With that logic stupid shows also get master piece title. Useless story line and theme are praised and respected like a classic story. In this regard TMKOC automatically becomes a great show. Also, there aren't many sitcoms these days. & Tv has made a remake of Shriman Shrimati which is called, ' Bhabiji ghar par hai' with a pinching of Yess Boss and its good and sane as of now.

Others like Akbar and Birbal air in such channels which people don't even surf. Few good ones went off air like Bha se Bhade and one like Neeli chatri wale is struggling enough to remain in the competition. Most of the comedy shows are made of stand up comedians. Sitcom in real sense don't have much space in the television industry.

But I still consider TMKOC to be good show even with its severe shortcomings because of its content. It can irritate you but will help you get a good sleep because it saves your brain from Saas Bahu and Saazish. Also, I don't think the above mentioned shows aired daily. I think all of them were bi -weekly or weekly. TMKOC just like other contemporary shows cannot run without fillers.

Agreed!Compared to gopi bahu type serials,tmkoc is much much better and that's the reason people like us still continue watching it even though tmkoc is just old wine in new bottle nowadays.
