I guess she sees no point in it. She sees her future in this house, with these people. She sees herself growing up and doing what other ladies in the house are doing. The girl she was friendly with, must have received some education before being married off by her parents. This is why she craved for more.

Unlike Anandi, who had studied before being married, whose mind had been opened up to the world and its wonders by teacherjee, Nandini has not had that opportunity.
Even though she sees other girls going to school, she probably thinks it is not for her...

Unless she is plucked from here and put in a more open environment, she will live, grow up and die here.

@bold - I agree, if what she said is in this context.

@blue - perhaps members are merging Anandi and Nandini here. It is not correct that she is probably adept at all of household work - simply because she was never shown doing any household work except for boot polish etc. (that was just to cater to her husband's ego). All she does was roaming cheerfully, playing pranks on her husband (how she dared to play pranks if he was like devil always is beyond understanding), watching other women (including her caretaker) doing household works, replying back to elders, polishing off a lot of laddoos in night when she was not given food that night etc. etc. Her behaviour does not match with a tortured balika - vadhu howsoever creatives want us to believe in it.

Anandi was like a bird in a cage. She was in a cage but she could see the outside world through the bars. So she yearned for all those things like education and freedom.

Nandini is locked up in a dark room she doesn't know what the outside world looks like.From the time she became aware of her surroundings she has only seen this.

How can she miss finer things in her life when she has never even seen them?

But she does long to escape from there and that's why we see her finding joy in those sun rays water droplets falling on her

She does seem to be cheerful - but when she has seen only this life and doesn't know anything she became tolerant towards this and learnt to accept life as it is and finds ways and mechanisms to cope up with it.

She only knows that she must have had a mother just like anyone else but has never seen her and that's the only thing she thinks is different from the people who surround her.Unlike them she doesn't have a family of her own. That's all she knows.

Ganga was miserable in Ratan's house - but she had seen a different kind of life till she was married off to Ratan .She was going to school and even though she was an orphan she had a bit of childhood Unlike Nandini who knew only life in Sasural and nothing else.

This girl I guess is put in even worst circumstances than Anandi and Ganga and that cheerfulness is one way of beating the circumstances she is put in and that's the only way she can escape from reality of her life.

She is made to do a lot of house work too. I think there was a scene where she was asking whether she can go and have her food now that she finished her work.

And she was teaching that other girl all kind of tricks to make life easier for her.Those tricks she may have pcked up while she was working at home.

CVs may not have actually shown her doing all the work but they did imply that she does a lot of work at home.

She did mention that the burn she got on the left hand was when she was abused by MIL for burning Kundanji's rotis. So apparently she is doing some cooking, may not be polished in the art yet.

Another issue with Nandini is that Akhera is wary of her caste, family, status. He was very reluctant to go ahead with the marriage but was forced to by his wife. This too is a reason they are unable to accept her wholeheartedly. These things apparently matter a lot to Mr. Akhera. Don't know what they eventually intend to do with her. What is the extent of that so called "dosh".

Yesterday the daughter's boyfriend was also wondering whether they would ever get married since he was of a lower caste.

Caste equations have not entered BV so far, I think.

i feel till date nandini character is confusing.

Her personality is yet to reveal.

This was not with Anandi.

Right now i m not able to judge this character , how it will progress and what they will show in future.

But really i dont want to see kucchi umar ke pakke rishte.

Nimboli is raw and lack of consistency is ok in a small girl.

She is anti anandi in some ways due to her upbringing.

I just remember Phoolan Devi and her story.

Once she is with anandi, she will finish her education in 3 years. I am waiting for this to happen. Meanwhile she has to go through hell and high tide.

I think that dialogue was not her own. Nimboli might have heard it repeatedly from someone around her and is repeating those words without thinking but if she gets to know what real education is she can prove them wrong.

Don't worry Anandi will rescue her and soon without ever going to school before she will never have any problems with studies and soon top her class, leaving even Shivam behind...😆
