He is playing a 55 year old for the major portion of the film...I think it's only for this film he's playing an older char...and Aamir has played mature roles in his recent films except Dhoom 3...

He is playing a 55 years old for almost the whole length of the movie. The 27 years old part will be 15 mins long at best.

Regarding this whole pick toles that suit you dicussions, Aamir gas been at it for some time.

You can go back to TZP days. He played a teacher that too in a supporting role as required.Then Dhobi Ghat and Talaash happened. Both mature roles exactly the stuff he should be doing at this stage. Those two were followed by PK and now he is doing Dangal.

The only exceptions have been 3I (a different context/story imo but nonetheless) and D3( it was pure crap).

So he has been picking such roles for a while now. But the less said about the others the better.
