Shiva is strategic, Rudra is emotional and powerful, Charles has gift of the gab, Tiwari is meticulous, Kat is deceptive, similarly Mai is adaptable.
In other words what they are telling is alone you cant accomplish things. It is through relations, connections you achieve greater things. Rudra is kept as sarvasesth is because he will be the person who will bring everyone under him. I mean the leader whom everyone trusts. Also look at the way they have created characters. Rudra though born in Brahma Nisth Panth was bought up is smashan, Shiva and Tiwari are what we call the real intellectuals who meet the stereotype of born to achieve great things. Charles is an orphan, a street boy, Kat is a foreigner and Mai she looks like half mad. It gives us superb messages like not to create barriers based on region, religion, gender, appearance, family etc etc.. as you never know whom you need or who needs you to achieve greater purpose in life. The barriers are created by us humans, but not the universe as Shiva clearly tells. Each person is born with a purpose and no one is useless.Humans are so lost in Maya that very few are able to understand the real purpose or goal of their life.
