Shocked and surprised...tell us about this sudden development in your love story?
Well, not much to tell. I met Ankita very recently and somehow things just worked out for us. I think this is what is called a miracle. I have found a friend and soul mate in Ankita and I don't think I could have asked for more. The wait has definitely got its worth (smiles).
So did Aly Goni really play cupid?
Yes, he was the one who got us together. Aly is like a real brother to me and like every family member, he too wanted to see me settled. I don't know when these things got transpired in his mind, and he introduced us. He has been instrumental in finding love for both of us.
Since Abhay Bhargav (Ankita's father) is also in the show, we thought he was the one who arranged' this alliance.
I have no idea what has been cooking between Aly and Abhayji. They had been talking about it, I guess, and I am glad they did (smiles).
You really sound happy...
Yes, I am very happy and am sure people can sense that. Ankita and I are starting a new life, holding no grudges against anyone and would also want people to have nothing against us. It is a beautiful and positive start and I would want people to give us their good wishes.
What about Kamya, how is she doing? Did you talk to her?
As I told you, we would want a positive start with nothing holding us back. We are happy and hope others too find happiness in their life. Everyone deserves to be happy.
So is 2 May the date for the wedding?
We haven't really zeroed upon the date, but yes it would be around that time only.
We also hear that you will get engaged in April?
(Laughs) Well, the roka ceremony is this Saturday (14 March).
Oh, wow...too fast, ha?
Yes, I think this is the best example of destiny. You suddenly meet someone and things fall in place so beautifully that you plan to settle down, well it all seems a miracle. Imagine the person who played my father-in-law onscreen for a year will now be my sasur ji in real life too. It is a great moment for us, our family and everyone close to us.
And finally now that Aly found your soulmate, will you return favours by finding one for him?
Of course, I think now I will definitely have to find a girl for him. Yeh to banta hai!
