"Bigyani Hai gyani Nahi!!" - though I am unable to believe what I heard, I am sure our so called gyani Dadi Ji said this to Dr. Rao

CVs do you think before you write?? Do you have any idea how idiotic, ignorant and nonsensical that line was?? Dear CVs for some of us it is no less than blasphemy .. I mean what do you mean scientists like Sir Issac Newton, Einstein, Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose, Neil Bohr, Stephen Hawkins is?? They are not gyani?? not knowledgeable?? If they are not "gyani" then who is??

Seriously I had a huge expectation from Utkarsh .. common he is the writer of DKDM .. I thought the man who understood profound Shiva philosophy must know the idea of Atom came from India only .. I thought he knows unlike western philosophy, Indian philosophy stands for science and to us philosophy and science are much connected ..

But to my dismay, I was expecting too much .. today that one line spoiled it for me .. after that I was in no mood to hear anything else .. forget what dadi said I couldn't even hear what prof. Rao said

Indian TV shows, in most cases are typically piles of gibberish .. but the unique concept attracted me to this show .. and I had a wrong idea that it has potential of becoming an Indian version of Dan Brown's novels .. but alas I am disappointed and How!! After this I doubt if I will be able to continue with this show .. may be will do only because of Shivanand's quest [ & Rao's too .. don't care if he is +ve or -ve .. at least he is learned among an annoying bunch of fools in the show] ..

but my respect for the CVs are gone .. and keeping no expectation from the show .. when a show is becoming sole reason of irritation and annoyance it's time to break the special attachment I have with it

If you know what context the two words are used for, you wouldn't write this post.

Here Gyaan - represents general wisdom. And spiritual knowledge.
Vigyaan - is vishesh gyaan. knowledge in a specific area but is very different from Gyaan.
These two words have been used like this since ages. And we know that more than the literal meaning, the context in which the word has been used historically defines the meaning.
Here, both the literal meaning and contextual meaning are correctly used.
When someone has vigyaan but no gyaan, it means that he has a knowledge in an area but does not have wisdom.

Sorry dear I don't find your answer convincing enough .. gyani is translated as Knowledgeable in english .. a person can e knowledgeable without being scientist like Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, Iswarchandra Vidyasagar, William Shakespeare but every scientist is knowledgeable. Calling a scientist not knowledgeable doesn't only sounds idiotic it feels like insulting every sage worshiping science from ages and exploring its huge arena

The knowledge of Science and spirituality is not two different thing in Indian philosophy .. how many times I have to give the example of Rishi Kanad who discovered Atom for the 1st time .. his Vaisheshika Darshan is a fine example of spirituality and science, why go for Kanad when we all know about Hindu adwitavaad what Swami Vivekananda has followed later .. again it proves how knowledge of spirituality & science goes hand in hand .. Ancient India has practiced them as one not as different ..

I do not know how many times you have to give the example, or have done so in the past. But after this reply I will rest this case.
Gyaan and Vigyaan are different in meaning. And are used to represent wisdom/realization and knowledge respectively. In Advaita and in elsewhere.
And that is the sense used here.

Finally some one made this post..
Thank you for making it..
I don't know which tribal philosophy she follows it's not Indian Philosophy.
All the great sages we worship were worshiper of Science. Even Spirituality was described scientifically in Indian Darshana.
Really she should give a rest to her Astha..
Even the word "Astha" got irritated.

All i will say is that i find dadi the most arrogant and stupid person in the show . To me dadi is lacking both in the knowledge of science and general wisdom . She is so firm in her arrogant belief that she does not realise that amrit is sorrounded by evil forces and as the leader of the clan it is her duty to protect it from falling into wrong hands . And here i will defend the writer . When dadi said those lines , it was in keeping with her general charcter ,belief and arrogance . It was just part of a dialogue . And bcoz of this i absolutely dislike Rudra holding on to her pallu . But all this i guess is necessary as it is part of the ongoing story in which there is a conflict btw an old lady who is really scared of losing her loved ones and her son who is looking at the picture from a broader point of view

That line annoyed me too😡

but I watched it for doctor Rao and Shivanand..

later Dr. Rao said Shivanand to remove the apparatus with such annoyance, that was a perfect answer...👏

P.S:- Is Dadi the 7th Garud? how she understood Shaivnanad would be there!!! she was shulaowing Rudra na.. I was confident that she will sing a lori to her grandson and Shivanand, Prof Rao will complete the experiment...par sara umeed pe pani fek diya CV ne 😭

P.P.S:- each day I am getting attracted to Shivanand more..see his mother took the vow that Shivanand will experiment on Saraswati Kund upon her dead body, but yet he came to experiment...

bravo...I like him..don't care he has a son older than us 😆 don't care ke shiv ke sar pe Ganga abhi vhi jibit hain 🤣

If Dr Rao or Shiva is gyaani why couldn't they see the 7th Garud yet. That is the difference between vigyaan and gyaan. or knowledge and wisdom.
Wisdom will enable you to see the unseen, hear the unheard. So the script has used it in the right sense only.
All the people you mentioned are with great knowledge by that I mean superior IQ, but it is scientifically proven a person needs EQ as well as Spiritual Quotient or SQ to complete their knowledge. IQ is only one area. Research papers are written extensively on EQ and SQ as well. If IQ was the only thing needed Bhagavad Gita wouldn't have been used extensively for personality development in leading B-Schools. So you cant abhor everything Dadi tells.
What Dadi tells is true, but what she practices is not what she tells. That's where the whole hypocrisy comes. Because a person with good SQ and EQ does not put down IQ the way Dadi did. Because that is also needed very much.

Vigyan is Vishesh Gyan .. One can not become a Bigyani if he is not gyani .. gyani can be gyani because of his/her knowledge of spirituality, philosophy, literature or science .. Nobody can dare to say Bigyani's are not gyani .. ohh except our dear dadi ji

Now coming to the context of Indian explanation of science - 1st Indian scientist [whose theory and research still exists and available] is Rishi Kanad - mind it "Rishi" is used for the people who are spiritually enlightened .. when a scientist like Kanad who for the first time discovered and explained the function of Atom, was called Rishi that itself means ancient India accepted a scientist as Gyani person .. His philosophy explains God and Atom together - so basically spirituality and science - gyan & bigyan - gyani & bigyani - are words that are attached and inseparable

Things became different during Kapil Muni .. His philosophy completely discarded the concept of God and explained nature is everything - spirituality and science became different by a fine line but again he was called "Muni" if not a "Rishi" .. nobody would dare to say he was Bigyani but not gyani

Adwaitavaad again brought two things things together - explaining nature is God, God is inevery atom & in every living soul - science & spirituality became one once again

I have no problem with whatever Dadi says .. I hardly hears them .. people who has problem with science simply annoys me but with that one line CVs gave viewers a wrong message - Bigyani, scientists are not gyani and the tone was simply insulting to the great men of science .. As I said in my earlier answer to you -

One can be gyani without becoming Bigyani but one can't be bigyani without being gyani.. Gyan/ knowledge of science makes them Gyani naturally .. I am sorry if you think those great names I have written at the beginning of my posts are not gyani enough .. I am yet to understand then who are??

In Color: It has a simple answer .. it has nothing to do with gyani n bigyani debate .. it is because CVs don't want Shiva to find 7th Gaduda now .. they want more drama and suspense .. it is all about a silly script duh

Now the SQ .. well I am a believer but I know a great man, whom I respect a lot, who has been declared as the greatest scholar of millennium by BBC through public voting and scholar's voting .. the man had 0 SQ as he was a stern atheist - His name is Karl Marx ..

Another man this time in India .. who made women education possible, fought and passed the law on widow remarriage and made it possible in an orthodox society, without him probably we would still face polygamy .. Name : Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar .. the man of still - was an atheist/ agnostic .. got the title of "Vidyasagar" for his huge knowledge in Sanskrit and other subjects

So, basically SQ has no connection with becoming gyani .. not all gyani persons are spiritual .. they don't need to be .. Now plzz call these men not gyani .. for God sake DON'T ..

about EQ .. Vidyasagar was also called as Daya-sagar .. I never heard about any person with more EQ than him .. again most of the scientists have much more EQ than any normal person .. however, great characters has been made with less EQ (apparently) and huge IQ .. they are literally immortal in literature world .. example: Sherlock Holmes .. however the apparently makes a big change here so EQ is definitely important

all the scientists I have quoted some where believer some were atheist .. that doesn't make them any less "Gyani" .. they were not great for their huge IQ .. They were great for their contribution and discoveries of science .. they were Bigyanis enlighten the whole civilization with their gyan
