Madhuri still makes audiences' heart go dhak dhak
If the reactions to her comeback film Aaja Nachle promos are anything to go by, Madhuri Dixit Nene still makes the audiences' heart go dhak dhak.
To check what the viewers' response to the teaser of Aaja Nachle shown along with Chak De India is, Madhuri's secretary of last 24 years Rakeshnath aka Rikku actually took a round of many cinema halls on the film's release day and was left amiably surprised.
When we asked him about his secret trip he was pleasantly surprised as to how we got to know about it? But nevertheless, sharing his excitement he said, "People were clapping and whistling as she appeared and flashed her famous smile in the promo. People still miss her and the Madhuri magic is very much alive. They want her back in the industry."
"It was her single shot that was shown in the teaser but even during the interval I heard people say that they came to watch Madhuri's promos as they had come to know that it will be shown before Chak De India starts." Rikku goes on to add, "I shared my experience with Madhuri and told her how positively her fans are reacting to her comeback film's trailer."
And what was her reaction to that? "She was very thrilled and is now keener on the release of Aaja Nachle that is scheduled on November 30."
Rikku started working for Madhuri since the time she entered the industry. For the initial 2-3 years, he worked with for her free because he had the confidence in her that one day she would strike it very big. Madhuri too respected the faith Rikku kept in her and did not change him even once. Their association together has lasted for 24 years now. "I definitely miss her. No one can match up to her. My relationship with her was so different," he adds before signing off.

The teaser begins with a back shot of Madhuri performing on a dark stage with the signature tune of Aaja Nachle playing in the background. Just then she turns around and flashes her legendary killer smile and the whole dark stage gets star lit and the words "Madhuri is back" are flashed on screen. Aaja Nachle is produced by Yash Raj and directed by cinematographer turned director Anil Mehta (Lagaan, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna). The musical with a theatre background also stars Akshaye Khanna, Kunal Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey.
