Women's Day wishes to you all

Hi all!
Though I am not in favour of designating a separate day for women,but let's make it the cliched way.

A very Happy Women's Day to all my lovelies out here. And it is not just today,a woman must have the feeling that she is special. Not once in 365 days but ALWAYS.
I pray that one day we can walk out on the roads late at night without fearing for our safety and well being.

I hope to open the newspaper one day and not see a single case of rape or domestic violence or female foeticide.

I wish to stand equal to my male counterpart at every point in my life and not be discriminated against.

I hope that day really arrives asap amd the world becomes a better place to live in and we wouldnt need a single day in a year to celebrate womanhood.I can always keep hoping.



P.S- Though I might be badmouthing Sadda Haq often,I have to admit that somewhere down the line,this show has made me think differently and bonded a lot of us,women together..So definitely a huge round of applause for this show. :-D

Even I wish to be part of a world where the basic amenities marked out for boys are also meant for girls, where liberty, equality and freedom is exercised by both.
I want to be a part of a world where women are treated as equivalents to their male counterparts rather than sacrificial commodities meant for family keeping.

There are many laws framed in our constution meant for the welfare of women, which if implemented properly can lead to a severe decrease in the crimes against women. On this Women's Day, the one thing that I would want is the correct implementation those laws meant for women.

We should actually aspire to get rid of all pro-women laws infact..Infact why would you need special laws for our protection or maybe need women's rights commissions? The day these are erased,only then will be at par with men. And women themselves should definitely learn to believe that they are not unequal and definitely not the 'second sex'. A lot of women's mentality needs to be changed too actually.
