We recently witnessed a major showdown between Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) and the Bhallas when they realized that she was responsible for Rinki's marriage fiasco. Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) gets Rinki married to Mihir (Raj Singh Arora) and in response to Shagun's betrayal, they throw her out of the house.

Before leaving, Shagun threatens Raman (Karan Patel) that she will destroy him completely. The next day, Shagun calls her lawyer and Raman for a meeting. During the meeting, she tells him that he can have custody of Aditya, but he will have to give her maintenance of Rs. 4 lakh every month. Raman loses his cool and walks out of the meeting. He tells his lawyer to check his savings and see whether he can fulfill Shagun's demands. When Raman goes home, he doesn't inform Ishita about his meeting with Shagun or the conditions she put forward in exchange for Aditya's custody. The next day, Raman calls Shagun and gives his consent to all her demands.

In the upcoming episode, Ishita suspects that Raman is in some turmoil, but when she confronts him, he dismisses her and asks her to enjoy Holi. They have an argument, but Raman romances Ishita during the festivities of Holi and asks for forgiveness. In all this, he still does not come clean about his arrangement with Shagun. The entire Bhalla family dances, drinks and enjoys the festivities of Holi, without realizing the trouble that is going to befall them soon.

The next day, Raman signs the papers for Aditya's custody and agrees to pay Shagun for it. But what he doesn't realize is that Shagun has deceived him yet again. In the agreement, Shagun changes the clause and adds a statement which declares that Raman has taken Aditya's custody in exchange for Ruhi. When Raman realizes this, he owns up in front of Ishita and breaks down helplessly.

On learning that Ishita will lose her baby Ruhi in exchange for Aditya, she breaks down and cries bitterly. She blames Raman for falling into Shagun's trap and for not telling her about his arrangement with the devil.
