Why is male child given importance over a girl child?

The cvs are giving such a bad message to the society. Agree, Adi is important but not more than Ruhi. They are equal. I mean you cry because you don't have a male child. Now you start crying for your grandson because you can't have another grandson.

What if Romi could give birth would you cry the same way? You would be hurt but not go this extent if he was away from you because you were away from him before but all of a sudden you want him back at any cost because you can't have another male child? This is utter crap!

What message do the Cvs want to give us? That a family cannot run without a male kid. Aren't there people with girl child? And they are very much happy too. My parents have two daughters and don't have a male kid so they should start crying? Literally this is just nonsense.
