The love story apparently started off on very shaky grounds. Both Divyanka and Ssharad didn't exactly mingle much when they first met on "Cine Stars Ki Khoj 2004." Fate brought them face to face again when they did their first show together " "Banoo Main Teri Dulhann."

Initially, they kept away from each other but as they started doing romantic scenes together, the couple got close and finally broke the ice. From what we hear, they first became friends and then best of friends. Within a year of the show, they began dating each other. However as the show came to an end, they moved on as Ssharad wanted to concentrate on movies.

Their connection strayed and they lost touch. Ssharad went abroad to pursue his studies in acting, while Divyanka continued with small TV shows. Although they spoke once in a while, there was nothing more to it. However, after a year, Ssharad came back and they rekindled their lost love. In spite of probes from the media, the couple never admitted to being in a relationship.

Around a year ago, Divyanka and Ssharad came out in the open about their relationship and their plans of a grand wedding in the near future. It was just around the time that Divyanka had bagged the lead role in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" as Ishita.

Within a year, Ssharad also got cast as the lead in "Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap." During several award shows and gatherings, Divyanka spoke about getting married to Ssharad and how she wanted a special proposal from him. About two days ago, we heard that the couple was facing a few problems. Reports about a break up started surfacing.

Succumbing to pressure and constant questions, Divyanka and Ssharad released a joint statement that said, "The decision of calling off the relationship is mutual. We had a beautiful journey, and the most lovely memories are helping us part ways cordially. Yet, it's a painful process and speculations only increase the pain. We request the media to be considerate. This is the final word on this subject and we won't be talking about what went wrong in our relationship. We believe it wasn't destined to last."

Well, a source close to the couple claims that Divyanka was all set to take their relationship to the next level, but Ssharad was not prepared yet. Despite her repeatedly passing hints, there was still no response from him. The couple would often get into an argument over it. And that's one of the reasons the couple decided to move on.

However, a little birdie also revealed that the "Maharana Pratap" actor was apparently caught cheating and that is the actual reason behind the break up. Well, there is no confirmation on this as the couple has refused to comment or acknowledge any questions on their break up. It's quite sad because we were hoping to see the couple married this year.
