Scene : An auditorium
A lady (Preeti) comes in an auto and rushes in to meet another lady Meera and tells her that her sister Kuhu(???) has met with an accident. The two ladies go into a room where Meera phones one Harsha. While she's speaking on phone, Preeti places a kerchief on Meera's mouth and renders her unconscious. She says sorry and walks out of the room.
Scene Another area in the hall
2 guys - one a magician and his assistant come down the stairs discussing about a new trick the magician is going to perform. The assistant says that after this trick everyone would forget Prasenjit. (I hope the name is right) They both notice Preeti. The magician walks to Preeti and asks her why she's following him and that he doesn't love her any more. A security guy comes and tells the magician that Preeti was there because Meera's sister met with an accident, and that since Meera had already performed tricks with him ,she would be the best replacement. The magician (I didn't still get his name ) says that this is the last and final time he's allowing Preeti into his show. (At last, heard the magician's name - AK)
Scene : Auditorium
The magic show is on and AK performs his best trick - disappearing from one side and appearing from 4 other sides...(copied from Dhoom 3 with a twist😵)
The trick starts. AK vanishes and appears once, twice, thrice and 4th time he doesn't appear. The audience gets bored and leaves. AK's assistants wonder where he's gone. The main assistant who is supposed to know where AK is, opens a box near the stage and there he finds AK's dead body. the assistant calls CID.
ACP, Sachin Pankaj and Ishita investigate, interrogate the assistant and the others, who tell CID team, that AK used to fast 2 hours before a show and that the trick was supposed to be performed in a timespan of 2.5 minutes. AK had probably had his lunch in a nearby hotel where he stayed.
ACP asks Sachin to visit the hotel and investigate.

Scene : Hotel
Sachin, Freddie, Nikhil and Ishita make enquiries. The receptionist tells them that AK stayed in room no 401. Another lady from the staff comes and tells the CID team that AK had just arrived and gone to his room. The cops are surprised at how a dead man could come alive and rush to AK's room.
Sachin knocks the door but there's no response. The manager is called for and he opens it with a master key. AK is however not found in the room; Sachin finds an open window in the washroom and assumes that AK has escaped from there. Sachin asks for the CCTV footage to check if it really was AK.
From the CCTV footage, CID team finds that it was indeed AK. Freddie mentions his usual aatma' but corrects himself and says that aatmas don't appear in cameras. Freddie phones Salunkhe and asks him if AK's body has arrived in the forensic lab. Salunkhe tells him that no laash had arrived in the lab!
Sachin decides to trace the ambulance in which the body was taken. (OMG, CID cops send a laash alone to the lab? No one accompanies it? Why are they having such a big battalion! 😡)
The ambulance is found on a deserted road. The attendants in the ambulance are found shot dead and the laash is missing. The driver isn't dead, so CID team questions him. The driver says that while driving he had heard gunshots from the back side. When he turned around, he saw AK sitting, alive. AK hit the driver on the head and escaped. Sachin informs ACP.
Scene : Auditorium
Salunkhe checks the box from which AK's body was found.
Pankaj and Freddie who are investigating the green rooms find Meera in a cupboard, unconscious. Meera is revived. She tells CID about Preeti. The manager tells CID team that Preeti used to work for AK earlier and was his ex-GF. ACP asks the manager as to where is Preeti. The manager tells ACP that Preeti has disappeared after the show. ACP is now sure that this Preeti is aware of what happened to AK.
Sachin gets a call from AK's rival Prasenjit saying that he knows something about AK's disappearance. CID team meets Prasenjit in the auditorium where he says that AK had threatened to kill him 2 hours back (at 12 noon) in his show (somewhere else 30 km away)
ACP is surprised because at 11:40AM he was seen having breakfast at the hotel, and in Mumbai traffic travelling 30 km in 20 minutes is highly unlikely, which means he was present in 2 places at once. CID team wonder if he has a twin brother and Freddie calls AK's house in his village. The maid there tells him that AK has no twin brother and also that AK had just arrived at his house a few minutes back! Sachin gets a call saying that Preeti's address is found.
Scene : Preeti's house
ACP, Shreya, Ishita and Vansh reach Preeti's house. A girl, presumably Preeti's sister Anjali opens the door and shows them a room where her brother is under treatment for stomach cancer and all the furniture in the house is missing.

Anjali tells CID team that Preeti was talking to someone about going to Hazrat Gunj X road.
Scene : A house
Preeti talks to some goons and asks them for payment. The goons give her a bag of waste paper saying that AK is still alive. Preeti threatens to tell CID team. The goons are about to shoot her when CID team arrives. There's an exchange of fire and the goons are defeated. (Mr India Abhijeet arrives on the scene all of a sudden)
Preeti confesses that she was helpless. She tells that Munna (one of the goons) had asked her to render Meera unconscious and take her place in the magic show. She also shows an injection which she was asked to inject into AK's body when he entered the trunk. Abhijeet identifies it as a sedative.
Scene : Auditorium
Salunkhe is still checking the trunk. He finds a hidden tube in the trunk filled with poisonous which would be activated when the trunk's lid is closed. Salunkhe says that it takes 7-8 minutes for death to occur after inhaling the gas.
Scene : Back to ACP at Preeti's arrest scene
The goon Munna confesses that AK's manager Satish had given him supari to kill Munna.
Scene: CID Innova, Abhijeet driving.
ACP, Abhijeet, Jaywanti and Ishita discuss the case, and wonder how AK was appearing at various places if he's dead.
ACP gets a call saying that the manager is about to give a new own magic show performance starring AK! 😕
CID team rushes to the auditorium.
Scene: Auditorium
The presenter announces that AK is about to show is vanishing trick again.
CID team arrive at the hall. ACP asks Jaywanti to find the manager. Jaywanti goes backstage and finds him wounded and dying. She asks him who had done this. The manager points up in the air and dies.
Meanwhile the magic show is in progress. ACP, Abhijeet and Ishita watch the vanishing trick.
Each of them capture the vanishing AK's one by one as they exit from the hall. One of the AK's suddenly pulls out a gun and fires, creating panic in the hall.
All the AK's are made to stand in a line and questioned. Jaywanti comes in and tells ACP that the manager is dead. ACP asks them what's happening. The 4 AK's take off their masks and reveal that they are different people. The 4 guys tell CID team that the manager had asked them to play AK because he had taken a contract for all shows of AK and when AK was killed he was worried that he would incur losses. They confess that they had stolen the real AK's body from the ambulance.
ACP tells Abhijeet that the person who killed AK was none other than the person who knew that AK performed his vanishing act by disappearing into the box. Abhijeet suggests that since the manager was also killed, there was a third person. Abhijeet takes the manager's phone from Jaywanti and checks the call logs.(don't people at least use a screen lock? 😕) Abhijeet finds the culprit!
ACP says that he'll play a magic trick on that person. 😆
Scene : A dark house
A lady enters her room and is shocked to see ACP walking towards her. She runs off in the opposite direction, only to meet a second ACP. The runs in the third direction and a third ACP comes towards her. 🤣
The lady is none other than Meera. Two of the ACPs' take off their masks, revealing Abhijeet and Sachin in suits identical to ACP. (Hayyeee...I paused the video to take a good look at Abhijeet in suit. )
Meera runs away but Jaywanti arrives and slaps her.
Confession:
Meera says that she did this for revenge against AK as her sister Meghna was killed in an accident during a magic show and AK was responsible for it as AK didn't provide her with a proper safety harness.
ACP tells her that what she did was wrong, and that she unnecessarily killed the manager too and brought Preeti into the plot through Munna.
ACP gives the phaansi dialogue.
