The idea of Mihir and Rinki is not bad. Its just hte way it was approached is bad. Mihir is left with no decision making. he has to say yes to save the family and i think that is not right.
They could have just packed up and gone home at the moment and couple of days later, Ishita could have suggested Mihir's name as a prospective match for Rinki as they know him very well and they are both good friends as well. They can give Mihir and Rinki some time to talk about this and go ahead with mutual accpetance.
