Aaah I love this movie. I have innumerable scenes that are my favs:

1. When Dev & Paro first meet after he returns. Dev catches that bumblebee and says "Tumhe koi aur chue mujhe bardaasht nahi" 😳

2. When Dev's mom insults Paro's mom and then Kirron Kher retaliates and says how she is blind and deaf to his love for Paro but will become mute too after she sees her son's downfall.

3. When Dev meets Chandramukhi for the first time. Madhuri is absolutely exquisite in that scene (actually she's flawless in the whole movie)

4. When Dev comes to take away Paro when she's about to get married and then that songs sequence plays out "Hamesha tumko chaaha". Love the angst from both the leads in that.

5. When Chandramukhi gives a tight slap to Paro's brother in law after the Dola re Dola songs. Her acting is fabulous in that scene and amazing dialogues too.

6. When Dev dies. Of course the whole climax sequence is brilliantly executed. Everytime I see it I hope that Paro will make it across the gates somehow. Always a tearjerker.

Really think this movie is SLB's best.

SRK's Baabuji Ne kahaa scene- It was so moving, and made you feel so frustrated & scared for Devdas. SRK was amazing in this scene! The first time I thought he had any talent! ⭐️

But my most favourite was the scene where Thakurain Paro visits courtesan Chandramukhi's haveli to release Dev from it's seductive clutches, the play-off was beautiful! Esp when Ash says, "Kitne der takk Dev ko apne paas rakhogi?Jab tak paisaa hain? Yeh roop hain? Bhool gayi, Tawaiffon ke taqdeer mein shaadi nahin hoti."

And Chandramukhi, with tears in her eyes lets out a huge laugh & says, "tawaiffon ki to taqdeer hi nahin hoti, Thakurain!"

LOVED it! Madhuri was magic in this scene & her dialogue makes me really sad for Chandramukhi- The true heroine of this story.

Loved every SRK and Aishwarya scene as Devdas and Paro. Their chemistry was amazing.. i cried a lot at the end when Devdas died. And Paro and Devdas wouldnt never reunite.
