| Chaitanya Choudhary |
For the academically inclined Chaitanya Choudhary, acting happened purely by chance.
An MBA in marketing, this good looking young actor participated in a model hunt pageant and won the Mr Photogenic title.
"Education was always a priority. I participated in the pageant just to get a taste of it as my friends had sent my photographs.
" But what followed was a string of modelling offers and a movie offer by none other than Dev Anand for his film Love at Times Square.
"I was working with a firm at the time of the pageant. After that, I got a number of calls from modelling agencies and an opportuinity to work with Dev saab. I discussed it with my parents who asked me to give acting a shot," informs Chaitanya.
The attractive, well groomed dude of television won a great deal of adulation thanks to his stint in Kahiin To Hoga and is now set to play the lead in a daily, Ganga. So, has the glamour world changed things around him? "Acting has changed things around me, but I have not changed as a person. All the attention I get from fans makes me work harder," he smiles.
So, what does the future hold for this young man? "I want to be a successful person. I don't plan things, I only think about things and how to do them. Let's see what happens," he says. And is he planning to do more films? "I am getting film offers but I plan to stick to television for the time being," he says.
In an industry where it's tough to make close friends, Chaitanya has managed to make some. "I am quite close to Eijaz Khan," he says. Ask him about his reported liaison with Surveen Chawla and he laughs it off saying, "I am very much single." So, what would his ideal woman be like? "She has to be good looking, intelligent and a nice human being," he signs off.
