Hey guys, I came here after like ages. Wanted to read the reactions about Khamoshiyan post its release.
Well, I saw the movie on its first day itself. Rather, I showed the movie to my hubby and my friends as a treat. And if I am honest, the movie was bad. I am die hard GCian as few of you guys must know. But I cant appreciate all his work. And this was a bad choice as a debut movie. And though he has the potential, but he does looks a bit amateur in the movie which disturbed me. More or less, I expected a better performance from him. Guess, I have set high standards for him because I know he has the potential. And grey shade is something I know he can portray to perfection. He can any actor when it comes to a grey shade role, well this is what I feel. May thats why I was a bit disappointed.
I was disappointed because I have seen Sushant doing wonder as an ACTOR in his debut movie and I expected something like that only from Gurmeet also. Its not about how your role was in the movie, I was obviously not happy about his screen time but I was more dishearten the way he was used. A director can make his actor sharpen his skills. And somewhere, I thought the director failed to bring out the devil in him which was the requirement of the role.
But If I watch the movie as a normal non-fan, then I would say he has done a decent job and he surely does show a tremendous potential in future.
What pissed me off was his screen presence. God... It was not more than 15 minutes. And to anger me more, he was edited from the Khamoshiyan version which I saw in the songs. I was patiently waiting for that song because he looked DAMN HOT in it, but he was missing from the song. It was only Sapna and Ali in the song.
I felt like Gurmeet's popularity was actually used for the promotion of the movie. Because of all the people who went for the movie, 80 percent went just for Gurmeet. And were disappointed with his screen presence.
I had so much to say about the movie but now it slipped from my mind.
Anyways, has anyone else seen the movie??? How do you guys like it???
