Patriotism is being proud and respecting every aspect of Independence, right from pre to post independence era. I owe and love this country. Patriotism is to cherish every moment of freedom. The effort and the lives given by freedom fighters evoke strength in me and uplift my morale. It makes me realize that nothing is impossible. If you have courage you can fight against the wrong even as one single individual. You can and will overcome any barrier.

I think patriotism according to me is fight for your right. I feel extremely proud being an Indian and respect being part of this very country. My country has given me freedom and in return I should give respect and value every moment of Independence. I also regard Independence as not only hoisting a flag but also being a citizen to keep my country clean and green and expect the same from my fellow citizens. Patriotism is when you take democracy and your freedom in the right way, it is when you not only adore what your past leaders have done but put in your efforts to make changes in what is wrong and speak up.

It's the way you feel for your parents, as you can't live without them and once you are apart from them is just what I feel for my country. As an Indian I salute those who have taken pain and sacrificed their life. Though we have not seen them but we have read and heard about the nation hero's. Independence day is a gift for us and we should take care of this pleasant souvenir as long we live.
