Thanks for the updates. Vishwanathan and Vishnu nailed it right. Karthik deserved to hear all this from them. He had plenty of time and situations to fix things but he never did. Don't know why he is angry with Kamal since he wanted Raji to marry him anyways. He picked the fight on the terrace, first by calling Kamal wanting to speak with him, then stopping him from walking away and finally giving the first punch.
