If she really does bare her heart to him in a moment of ultimate vulnerability because of the brandy, then he will do nothing of this sort. It is just not in his character to do anything to hurt her intentionally.. though he tries a lot, but he can never bring himself to it.. till now he only thought he hates her.. when he comes to know the truth, he'll try to convince himself he does! :(
