Pandit knew there was some chakar between Manik and Nandini, but today from the announcement he can see that they are no longer together, hence now if he has any evil intentions he knows noone is really here to save her.

I doubt people will ask, remember Manik had once tried to expel her, people will think same thing happening again especially after his announcement
