Amazing Thread regarding Marriage is Bliss or Not

Mine was arranged marriage n in no way itz a bliss. Adjustments compromises everything can be done, there is a possibility, but how do u change a perverted guy?

Just one advice to all the unmarried gals out there, if you are stepping in for an arranged marriage, do get to know the person before hand. Do keep in mind that some ppl fake. It is your life, so plz get background checked and if you feel something's wrong, just don't go for it. Don't get under parental pressure, coz if u suffer in future, dy will also feel bad.

It is comment perspective that love marriages in India is a new concept and traditionally there had been only arrange marriages in India.

Marriage arranged or Love can be summed up in the following words that i read somewhere "Marriage is hard. It is damn hard. Anyone who says otherwise is not married or well, not married. Two people get together with their own dreams, their own spirits, their own quirks and you suddenly merge all of these things and BAM! - it's all supposed to just work. Well, sometimes it doesn't. And whether it works instantly or not, it requires constant communication, mutual respect and what feels like a whole lot of compromise sometimes. "

I think the starting pt to any marriage is that a)u shud be ready to get married and b)u should not walk into it with high fairytale expectations .If u can do the 2 pts succesfully then I beleive one can sail through any arranged or love marriage quite neatly

Nice topic. Loved the descriptions n explanations.. Finally there's no formula to be happy. Just be yourself n understand your partner..more than love this understanding between the couple is necessary..

I'm not experienced in any of the two marriages so I can't say with conviction which one is better ... both marriages have their pros and cons ... but there r few things which should be there in every marriage - friendship, understanding, trust and loyalty ... if these things r there then I guess any marriage will be successful .. be it arranged or love

I guess it just depends, and I love that you have looked at both perspectives of arranged and love marriages because they aren't wrong. I think they are both misunderstood and so no one really understands that it isn't the type of marriage that leads to problems but the people involved in the marriage. It is all destiny. Nowhere does it say that people in arranged marriages are happier than love marriages or vice-versa.

Right now, I find it bliss. Though, I am well aware that the magic may run out. Gf + I promised ourselves that if we ever run out of the magic, and we cannot repair it, that we will give ourself the chance to find happiness with someone else.

Yes.. Marriage is a bliss when there is compatibility between the couples.
