So, here we are. Finally on the 18th of February aka Vrushika's birthday. What can possibly be said about this girl that hasn't already been said before? Open a dictionary, look up the synonyms of cute and voila! That's Vrushi for you right there. This is her 21st b'day, and let it suffice to say that she's all grown up, so being more suitably organised ourselves, here's presenting to you in random order a list of '21 Things We Love About Vrushika Mehta':
1. Her adorableness. Something that wins her fans' hearts repeatedly, along with her inbuilt tendency to make us go 'Aww!'
2. Innocence. Vrushika could be easily mistaken for a child because of the innocence she seems to radiate!
3. Dedication towards work. Over the past two years, Vrushika's dedication to her work has been crystal clear. Working in various situations despite being severely unwell speaks volumes about her dedication. This is one quality which her fans clearly aspire to learn from her.
4. Her smile. A smile so infectious that it makes us all smile along!
5. Dance. Can anyone forget Yaadein? Vrushika's first dance on D3 and the first time we felt like we had truly found Sharon again, in her. She can mesmerise anyone with her grace and skill, even though she isn't professionally trained. The last two years have also shown us her versatility as a dancer on screen, and we LOVE the way she dances 'jee phadke' off screen on any dance floor.
6. Gratitude. Vrushika uses every possible chance to express her gratitude towards the people who've helped her grow as an actress and as an individual. She looks up to Palki Malhotra ma'am as she was the one who constantly pushed her to improve and showed her the way towards improvement too.
7. Respect for fellow cast members and for the crew. We really appreciate Vrushika's efforts to include and appreciate people who aren't always thrust into the limelight or work behind the scenes.
8. Crazy, unself-conscious randomness. Vrushika can be quite the goofball, and that's one of the most endearing things about her, for us.
9. Her bond with Shantanu Maheshwari: Vrushika has always maintained an unstated, friendly bond with Shantanu and has never failed to mention how much he has helped her along her professional journey so far.
10. Her laughter. A high pitched, super cute laugh comes through in every interview and more often than not, we laugh along!
11. Her respect and forthcoming response to the media. We've heard from members of the media themselves that she is among the rare few celebrities they feel genuinely happy to cover because of how approachable, spontaneous, warm and welcoming she is. Touchwood, we say.
12. Hardworking Nature. One thing we need to learn from Vrushika Mehta. The way she strives hard to achieve her goals in remarkable. One more reason we love her.
13. Fashion sense. We could go rambling on about how good we think her style sense is: her attire choices, her hair, her shoes...all thumbs up!
14. Humility. The last two years have blessed her with fans, adulation and applause galore. And yet in her demeanour we still see a sense of grounding that we hope always stays there.
15. Acting. Vrushika's evolution as an actress over the last two years has been phenomenal and no less. Her rendition of various emotions has wow-ed us all. Here's to still more improvement and greater histrionic accomplishments!
16. Love for chocolates. Vrushika and chocolates are an eternal, immortal love story. The way she looks for chances to grab and stash away any chocolates her hands can reach has always been hilariously endearing.
17. Acceptance of her fears. Vrushika isn't afraid of owning up to things and challenges that scare her. She has always been open about her fears, whether it be her fear of mikes or huge crowds.
18. Her eyes. Brown and beautiful, her eyes always seem to speak a thousand words.
19. Her sporting spirit. We've watched her lose one too many tasks on sundry television segments, but all of them with a bright smile of absolute abandon on her face. After all, haar ke jeetne waale ko baazigar kehte hain!
20. Her love and acknowledgment for fans. We've known Vrushika to be very forthcoming to fans who've been to meet her on set or have encountered her outside. And she never fails to thank them for everything she knows they have brought to her along her career so far. Little gestures like replies to inboxes too - through these may be few and far between - make a big difference to just remind us that she cares more than we realise.
21. Who she is, the way she is. Most importantly of all, we love Vrushika Mehta for being Vrushika Mehta, quirks, randomness, craziness and all. She is, after all, the reason for all the reasons listed above!
