The poignant moment of the episode to me...yes cliched dialogue but in this case it's resounding moment of truth from Ishita to Raman...and what better gift could have come from her?

"Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. "
Plato

What a beautiful episode...just touched by the maturity of it...I for one would have been disappointed if the reaction to the report went the cliched way...hats off to Team YHM for their hatke thinking.

~Edit

He wanted to give her something he felt would take away the pain she's been enduring for years. He wanted to give her the hope that together they would be able to alleviate her pain that the society tag her with for not being able to conceive. She was touched by his gesture but then told him that whatever she lacked in life has been fulfilled by their marriage...they don't need to make extra intervention to fulfill her life as it's already complete because of his love, because of Ruhi's love. One day because of her physical inability, she had lost everything but today she stands at a part where all those scars have been healed by the soothing touch of emotional connection and unconditional love that she has gained from Ruhi and him. She's complete as a woman. He completes her.

This is why I love YHM and have confidence in its writers. An episode which was lighthearted for most of the parts because of the unforced MU about the belly dancer...turned into one of the most poignant scenes of Ishita and Raman's one year journey. A couple who started their journey as a compromise have come this far where their marriage stands now on a solid foundation of love, trust and that something extra where they complete each other by just being there in each others life. If that is not love, then what is? And also who needs cliched "I love you" when their every action, every gesture screams it every day how much they are in love.

Just loved the episode.

Notes:

  • When will Toshiji and Amma learn the meaning of giving a couple some privacy. If you got them the honeymoon suite...let them enjoy in solitude.
  • Raman is ready to have some quality time ...Ishita's reaction was understandable too. It's not easy to stay in a honeymoon suite when you know your family is in the hotel. So I want to know why the heck the family decide to come to the hotel?
  • Loved the belly dancer sequence too😆...Puttar is so cute...his efforts of protecting himself was 🤣
  • And then he tried to act all typical man when things got settled.
  • Ishita promised to make it up..Kostin is when?

  • loved that Ishita finally talked a bit about the hurt she's received because of her infertility...and those scars were worse than her physical state.

Tried to write in a hurry...please excuse mistakes.😳

Such an emotional poignant and beautiful scene. Actually the entire episode was awesome except the mummies coming to check on the couple. Silly MILs 😆
beta/beti-bahu/daamadh ke room mein aise hi barge in karte hai!

Putthar and biwi needs to attend doc's class once more to close the door! 😉

kuch dher aur emotional romantic time, teasing romance continue karte without interruptions!

Anyways coming back to the gift from a husband and her reply to that. It was so thoughtful for him to have found out that there are chances for her to become a mother. He wished to give her the feeling of motherhood and become a biological mother...in turn throwing away the tag 'baanjh' from her life.

His gift and the emotions behind it really talks about his love for her. Perfect husband Raman!

Her reply that he completes her and her life has no flaws or isnt incomplete now proves her love for him and Ruhi. She doesnt need another baby of her own and that speaks a lot of her honest love for Raman and her motherly emotions for Ruhi. She wants their complete love and affection, their attention and focus towards Ruhi. A selfless woman she is...a kind hearted soul!

There was one moment which really caught my eyes apart from all this emotional conversations. When Ishita shut herself up in the rest room and Raman was trying to pacify her. He heard her crying and instantly, his facial expressions changed. that small moment where his heart tugged when hearing his love, his wife cry was so subtly beautifully enacted by KP! Awesomely beautiful!

And then the other moment was when he thanked her for believing and pardoning him so easily, she instantly felt guilty for having hidden from him. Then she confessed and apologized.

Both were typical husband wife moments where one's hurt and worry impacted the other. Talks a lot about the perfect couple who are so deeply in love with each other!

And about my wish...I wish they get to spend more romantic teasing moments before they end the anniversary and valentines day!

Gan - lovely collage & post today!

Their anniversary celebrations were absolutely perfect. Why?

They kicked off their anniversary with Raman explaining how Ishita helped him realize he was alive. For six years he was a man who just did but never felt. He had suppressed his humanity. After bearing the brunt of being rejected for not being being able to provide, Raman had spiraled down a path of overcompensation to almost reclaim his masculinity. From the early episodes, he wanted to feel and connect with others, but his scars were so deep that he couldn't allow himself to be vulnerable again until his Madrasan started chipping away at him.

And how did they chip away at each other? Nok Jok. The inclusion of the belly dancing was not only refreshing to watch as a viewer, but it sort of defined the vehicle that allowed them to progress their relationship from hate/pride/prejudice to dosti/comfort to love. While not always the case, in general they both used nok jok to break down the barriers between them.

Now the last barrier to be addressed on their anniversary? Ishita's sense of incompleteness and her reluctance to express her inner emotions. Throughout this show, we know Ishita has felt incomplete due to her inability to have children and subsequent rejection from members of society, but she never fully felt comfortable expressing her grief even after their marriage. But today, she did not force herself to be strong, but she let the man, who in one callous moment taunted her about her rejected adoption letter, hear her side of the story and comfort her. She who felt incomplete, now openly expressed that her husband & daughter completed her because they provided her with a sense of purpose and unwavering acceptance. Ishita never expected that unwavering acceptance from people outside of her blood family, but today thanks to Raman, she has more than she could have dreamed of - a place to belong.

Raman's declarations and thanks for Ishita, a woman who always overcompensated for her incompleteness, addressed the core of her insecurities.

Ishita's declaration (and placement of his name before Ruhi's) for Raman, a man who shut himself off from the world and his loved ones because he didn't feel he could provide enough, addressed the core of his insecurities.

So, in all senses, these two have truly served as balms for each other's wounds, and it's stinkin' beautiful.

#SO MANY FEELS. #Good job, CVs

Now for some episode related pointers...
  • Shagun is selfish - yes. But this is a more vicious and one dimensional face to her selfish behavior. How I feel about it? Idk - it seems like the easier route for the CVs to tread.
  • Haddis galore in this show. As much as everyone, myself include, hated the haddis today - the CVs did a fair job rationalizing it. The moms came to check up on the couple because they had been fighting all day & then Ishita would never feel comfortable with her and Raman staying in room while everyone else was downstairs - I mean, "log kya sochenge?"
  • Related - I love that the 2 families wanted to celebrate their children's anniversary together over dinner. In addition to Raman & Ishita, the Bhallas & Iyers have come such a long way.
  • I look forward to how Ishita makes this up to our poor, impatient Puttar - she now owes him a kiss & "pyar not parivaar" time! 😆
Deep thought for today- most Desi TV shows show intimacy as the "obligatory" act post-"I Love You" & then right before the lead female gets pregnant. I wonder if this show can illustrate that intimacy between a couple is normal & not just for the sake of having kiddos. Now the limited use of these scenes makes sense because filming has to be hella' uncomfortable, but CVs can also use the tried & tested "symbolism in place of action" method. This concept may be too forward for the 7:30 junta, but still thought I would throw it out there!

Well, I'm off to go deal with the feels & read everyone else's posts!

#Puttar&Missus looked divine today!

G as always lovely collage and very poignant quotes to capture the feel of the episode.

Today's episode is the reason why I love this show so much because they can capture seemingly ordinary conversation between a couple and make it extraordinary by their brilliant writing and unparalleled execution.

I do not know where to even begin with tonight's episode, that 3 minute scene had me in tears and I was so overwhelmed by the sheer emotional rawness of that scene that I had to contain myself before I came here to update.

I cannot help myself but think of a scene between Ishita-Raman, where Ishita just finds out that her adoption plea has been rejected and Raman somehow expresses joy at this news. I do not know much more about this as I curse myself for having not watched this show from the very beginning but thanks to all the maha movies I was able to get a glimpse of this particular scene. (Can someone tell me what episode was this?) I cannot help but compare this scene to the scene today and marvel at the journey of these two souls, how far have they come in their relationship that not only are they the pillar of strength for each other but are also the source of each other's happiness and being. This is the same Raman who now wants to move heaven and earth to bring the joy of motherhood to his Ishita, he wants her to experience motherhood from the conception of their baby to all the special moments that children bring in parent's lives.

I loved the subtlety with which Raman handed over the report to Ishita almost indicating that this happiness had to touch Ishita and it was only a matter of when and never if. He is so sure that she deserves all the happiness in the world and hence this letter is not so much of astonishment but a series of good things waiting to happen to his Ishita. I loved that he was so very tender with his touch, and ever so tender with his words, he made sure to tell her that he wants her to experience motherhood so she could experience all the joys it brings, that this not a reflection of what he wants from her but that this gesture of his is only for her fulfillment, I loved that he reassured her that she is the best mother in the world and there couldn't be any better mother for Ruhi than her Ishimaa.

What touched me the most was the hurt and disappointment in Raman's eyes when he said that he doesn't want the world to call her a baanj anymore. To me that moment is very revealing of the love that these two share, every insult hurled at her hurts him and every jab taken at him scratches her soul, if this isn't love I don't know what is. Raman's eyes had so much hurt and anguish over Ishita being called names by the society that if he could do anything at all to prevent her from facing societal abuse he would do it in heart beat. I am amazed at how good Karan is at his job, there aren't enough words to praise him.

Coming to Ishita, OMG my heart melted in a pool of puddle for this delicate soul! To hear the words that she always wanted to hear and that too from the mouth of the one she loves the most is poetic justice at it's best. A man who gave her everything, her life, love, made her mother and gave her a reason to live, today that man helped heal the largest wound of her being.

It's funny how things that matter to us the most at this moment might be inconsequential a few years down the line, who knew there would ever come day in Ishita's life that she would tear up a piece of paper that contained the her hope of being mother, such is the fickle nature of life. When one is happy and satisfied in love, all our goals and aspiration change because all our life goals, dreams and aspirations get aligned with the one that we love. Ishita always wanted to be a mother but after getting Raman and Ruhi's unconditional love, her life goals, dreams and aspirations changed, she doesn't think pregnancy is going to complete her anymore because she is already complete with Raman and Ruhi. Pregnancy for Ishita now is no more a thorn but a beautiful gift, if it happens nothing better and if it doesn't then so be it.

I loved how Raman's demeanor changed when Ishita talked about her past and the hurt she went through because of her inability to conceive, I wish the camera included Raman in the frame because I know Karan would have done full justice to it because whatever little they showed I loved! His heart broke listening to his wife's plight at the hands of the merciless world, it felt like he was battling an inner rage that he wanted to unleash on the world for hurting the love of his life and at the same time he wanted to tenderly coddle Ishita to lessen her pain. I loved this scene so much that I wish it could have lasted a little longer!

For reasons personal this scene just resonated with me a lot and at the risk of sounding like an emotional fool there was a great life lesson in this little scene. Life is fickle and full of surprises, it just sneaks up on you one fine day without making any noise and showers you with the most unexpected happiness. For Raman and Ishita, the beauty of life and love sneaked up on them when they were busy trying to work through crises, totally unexpected it showered them with love, happiness, togetherness and a lifetime of love filled banter.

I wanna keep on going and going about these two and the lovely scene but I will stop here because I am not making any sense. Will leave you with a song that came to my mind while watching these two talk about their vulnerabilities and building a world full of dreams and happiness for them and their little unconventional family.

Itti si hansi
Itti si khushi
Itta sa tukda chand ka
Khwabon ke tinkon se
Chal banayeinn aashiyaan Dabe dabe paaon se
Aaye haule haule zindagi
Hothon pe kundi chadha ke
Hum taale laga ke chal
Gumsum tarane chupke chupke gaayein
Aadhi aadhi baant le
Aaja dil ki ye zameen
Thoda sa tera sa hoga
Thoda mera bhi hoga apna ye aashiyan

ISHRALICIOUS EPISODE IS THE ONLY WORD 😳

If first past of the episode was fun with their Nhok Jhoks then the second half was class and with these two in picture, Hmmm ... Their emotions, I never find the right word.

Puttar wanted to complete Ishitha as a mother too. Loved Puttar here ❤️. He knows how much Ishitha loves Ruhi and how much she wants Adi to be a part of their small family yet he felt she needs to go through the whole feeling of becoming a mother. Complete the whole cycle ! That was one thing I will admire forever. When he said tum Ishi Ma ban sakthi ho. That was something else.

Biwi was in par with him. She read the report and was more than happy about the result. She felt so complete with Ruhi. Time and again her motherly love is taken to a new level. Every time this level rises, Puttar's love and respect for Biwi rises to a another level. Directly proportional ❤️. How much they complement each other ??? I am lost for words and yes to be frank I teared up. Stupid emotional me. The episode deserved this. Whatever she spoke !! I am content with you Raman, meri godh bhargayi, you complete me Raman. She meant every single word 👏👏👏 and when she tore the report apart. Awww . ICING ON THE CAKE 😳

Yes !! All of us expected some major romance today but whatever we got was something special than that. They have crossed the first "C" stage long back. Give it some more time and the second C will also happen. The stage they are in, I mean those khullar chai date, sweet anniversary surpprise, X ray scene !! I am super happy. but today was something else. YHM just got a little more special with this one episode. I laughed with them, smiled with them and cried with them.

I might have sounded repetitive. Sorry guys, got too emotional with the episode.

Perfect collages and that quote was lovely ! Gan, you rock everyday 👏👏.. Thanks a lot 🤗

Beautiful capture Gan!!!
I loved loved that scene.

Raman's wish to give her the ultimate happiness and ishita telling him that she is content with him and ruhi.

Why confession is needed???

Ishu, u better make up for the lost time and give ur husband what is rightfully his😳

Now, I want some serious desperation between our love-birds and when CVs feel give us their rocking suhaagraat.

RES
I was so busy and tied up in the hectic release schedule and had time only today to watch all the episodes aired last week. Oh My god.I just felt that the Fast forward button was On automatically. At the end had mixed emotions. Most important was I felt the old YHM vibe on most
of the occasions but ***

There were lots of scenes drool worthy . I am still melting on all those , Pressing replay button is not yet stopped from my end. In fact I am confused which one I should do. ( with the current scenario never expected CVs will give this on full dose..Pleasant surprise...) So let me hang out there for sometime before talking about them.

***
Not going into all ,just few that are constantly bickering my mind...

1. I can understand that sometimes kids talk for elders but Ruhi's dialogue for some reason I was not able to enjoy in the same way I did during Pooj's delivery track. I felt a bit overloaded . I would have expected one of the family members to remind Bala's mum on how she was badly taken for a ride earlier by just a 6 yr old and not to allow herself to happen it again and get degraded. That would have been simple and realistic.

2. I am not good at hindi, so not sure if I missed anything . What is Raman's role actually in his company? I thought he is a CEO who owns major share and part of the board. If not and if he is just an employee, how did he represent Asia's business head, Delhi entrepreneur association president election, called as big industrialist by media,..so on Having said that, it is illogical to see someone on the earth can suddenly come and questioning his actions especially to his subordinates. There should be a proper board of directors meeting rt?

On top of it, Raman is also shown as making mistake to think it as his company while resigning. He being an employee( all of a sudden) can be shown as passionate to think it as his company but why would media and other associations do the same? Why would all consider him as an entrepreneur? This just looked like the attempt of CVs to force the logic for the sake of drama.

3.Did I really miss anything that caused all of a sudden the secured home/family feeling for adi got disappeared from everyone? The episode was too good if we just consider it as standalone but with whatever has happened earlier, i am not able to understand what caused the attitude change in Raman towards adi? What made him to suddenly explain him which we all wanted him to do long back. If he had done the same earlier ( even after bashing ishita for anniversary celebrations), it would have made sense but now after seeing him so desperate to bring adi back from Mhir's house, i was just not able to relate...

There could have been more depth to it. Neither the 360 degree turn that he took earlier nor his later actions/decisions did not have gradual progression. It is above my head to understand why CVs cant invest in these scenes more rather than wasting in kinder garden race track for almost a week time frame.

4. Adding to the above, why there was not a single monologue from Shagun after raman's dialogue. For every single frame of her earlier episode CVs used to show them and torture us.Now when major thing happens, that is her lifeline, her secret weapon which she thought as a key to enter Raman's life became lifeless, should not there have been a strong scene showing her breaking down to pieces. I really did not see any heart break there. It was just shown as absorbing any other dialogue that she hears from Raman regularly...Even Adi was not seen speaking a single word about all this to his mom at that time or even later... Unbelievable

5. Now again CVs are very clever. They know that both ishita and shagun staying under same roof did not go well with audience but still they wanted to continue the same drama. So they moved her out off bhalla's house but by just a wall distance. So now again no one thought if this
cannot be permanent solution when discussing about reality ? Heights yaar.

6. What did actually shagun think to do with Romi? To blackmail him and make use of him in her tricks? I am clueless on what her plan was if Raman did not find the actual culprit. One day the CVs show her as a dumb vamp and on other day they show her as master mind. No connections at all in her character portrayal. In fact, she was never shown to be evil in the beginning rather a grey shade , so I should actually not complain much now for just turning her brain on and off according to CVs needs.

7. When did Romi became so dumb that he hands over the money to doctor in person and not paying it in hospital counter? It is not the Romi whom we knew. Are they showing that impotency issue will make the man to leave away all his mind. Did not liek a bit on how this part is being handled by CVs.

8. btw, why did Raman nor anyone not look further to know what Romi did exactly with 5L? In reality whether they boycott him or not, the family would have definitely got an answer somehow for it. Would not any family be disturbed that he is not further indulged in other illegal things that has made him to do this. Given his past, it is surprising that no one in his family is want to clear it and make sure that the money was taken for his personal pleasure and not for major illegal stuff...

9. OMG what kind of anniversary gift yaar Ishita was planing? Office decoration plan was bit let down. I thought she would really think something more romantic... especially after seeing the way Raman showering his love. Who on the earth will do this for the first anniversary and that too calling the designer to the hotel where Raman wants to spend quality time with just her alone. This was completley out of place for me. Imajine if it was actually a interior designer who came to meet him, would raman be interested to spend his memorable moments with the designer instead of Ishita. Very funny! Ishita, please be more romantic... Pleassse

I know , initially I said few but now going on and on, am like not in a mood to stop typing but will take a break now...

Sorry for taking you all backwards when you guys are immersed in ishra anniversary celebrations. What to do, 1 week show but looks all of a sudden that I missed 1 month show to rant...

PS: I am yet to see today's episode but read LU. Cant resist to watch and Gan your post on it is killing me
