Sunday Driver, a day that drives me to look at some old pictures and today while looking for some pictures of Surbhi Jyoti, I came upon many that I had to sit and ponder upon.

As I sifted through hoards of them trying to find some that told a story for me, it struck me how our friendship has evolved from day one when I had gone to the photo-shoot that Gorky had done of Surbhi, Karan Singh Grover and Rishabh Sinha for the channel.

A girl who absolutely loves sleeping is what I had discovered on very first day. She was feeling home sick, the anchor in the whole team was Gul Khan for her whom she depended on to make her feel comfortable. When the photo-shoot had happened, she had looked awkward, wondering why she was being disturbed during the shoot to click some photos of them with her in the red bridal wear.

Then, of course to find a few just for this purpose to show case how she has evolved through the show Qubool Hai is a tough task. As the India Pakistan match is on Television, I find myself in a battle with myself, trying to curb picking each and every picture I have taken of hers and put it up here.

The task of finding something that I have not put up before was beyond mammoth. But I believe I have achieved some level of success. Here are some that you all might find tell a story of a girl from Jalandhar. The wide eyed innocence that was taking all in to today where she is savvy about how the camera captures her. Today, we give you shades of Zoya Farooqui. No way are these definitive or exhaustive just an assortment of impressions I have had of her.

Each one of them tells about her sense of fun, the joie-de-vivre she has as she plunges into each of the scene and characters she has played in the show. As Zoya, perhaps she was the closest to being herself. The spunk, the verve and zest for life.

How, she has adopted the strays on the set to being comfortable with more than six guys who she has been paired opposite.

Of course, being on the set with her is like being hit by a force field that is like being sucked into a whirlwind. One cannot help but be part of that force, not because one fears being thrown off, but not being part of it would mean missing out on some roller coaster ride that is full of high adrenalin.

I remember each moment of the shoot as go I through these pictures. From the Holi sequence that lasted five days and her lamenting of getting wet all the time, to days of romantic dream sequences. The starry nights she had shared with Najma and Asad to elaborate wedding functions. All the scenes with Zoya fill us with nostalgia.

With two years and 600 episodes under the belt, the journey continues with her having fulling roles of Zoya Farooqui, Sanam Ahmed Khan and Seher Ahmed Khan with conviction that comes from being an artist who is ready to take the challenge of being part of a double role scenario to being her own daughter. The challenge of crafting a character that is far removed from Zoya.

The sunday driver for me has been a journey of taking picture of all three and going down the memory lane of seeing the similarities yet difference in each character.

Today, it is all about Zoya. I shall bring you more on Sanam and Seher as the show shifts another gear.

p.s.someone remind me who was the sixth guy she was paired opposite? I remember only five...Karan,Vikrant,RaQesh,Karanvir,Shehzad and ? Mohit was her bro so he cannot be counted...
