AIB row: Sonakshi Sinha and Mahesh Bhatt make up over a series of tweets

Mumbai: In continuing trouble for the organisers and participants of the AIB Knockout show which raised the hackles of moral brigade, a court ordered police to register a first information report (FIR).

The event, staged in Mumbai in December, was attended by 4,000 people and the audience included Johar's mother, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone among others. The FIR has already been filed in Pune, while Maharashtra government has announced an inquiry.

Things got worse when Mahesh Bhatt went on to say, "If being part of 4000 people in the audience and laughing is a crime, then why have the other attendees not been named in the FIR. Sonakshi Sinha, who is the daughter of person (Shatrughan Sinha, BJP MP) who is part of the present dispensation was also in the audience, why was she not named in the FIR? Certain forces are orchestrating this series of events. You have to be naive not to see that."

Now, Sonakshi Sinha who doesn't have qualms in speaking her mind, tweeted a series of posts making the fight even more ugly.

The registering of the FIR against AIB Knockout' participants has rattled a few nerves. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has commented on the omission of Sonakshi Sinha from the FIR, only to get a prompt reply from the actress.

In a disturbing development, an FIR has been filed against Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone for being part of AIB Knockout' roast that was held in December but the videos of which were put online recently and then taken down after controversy.

Interestingly, Sonakshi Sinha, who was also part of the audience like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, has not been named in the FIR. Mahesh Bhatt, father of Alia Bhatt, pointed this out when he said, "Alia was a participant and also subjected to the humour. The FIR names Deepika Padukone and Alia among the participants. Why not the other 3,998 attendees of the show? More importantly, if it names celebrities in the audience, why not Sonakshi Sinha."

Sonakshi Sinha's father Shatrughan Sinha, as you may know, is a BJP MP. Therefore Mahesh Bhatt concluded that "certain forces are orchestrating this series of events."

Sonakshi wasn't pleased by Mahesh Bhatt's comment and took to Twitter to clarify.

"Dear Mr.@MaheshNBhatt, a couple of pointless FIR's have been filed before this (Delhi and Kolkata if I'm not mistaken), in which my name was mentioned and Alia's wasn't. Let's not give these people the attention they so desperately seek. And as far as my memory serves me, nobody EVER went to jail for laughing," Sonakshi said in a series of tweets.

There was no rebuttal from Mahesh Bhatt at the time of this story going online.
