I was writing a post on today's episode and just into the second paragraph and then I came across Gorky's confirmation that Humsafars comes to an end in February. 😭😭 So i'm going to try to have this post as a tribute to Sahir, Humsafars and how it propelled me to start writing again- reminding me of my love to write years ago.
I remember watching the initial promos of Humsafars and Sahir's character instantly drew me in. I'll admit that i'm a extremely late bloomer when it came to Harshad and i can't believe that i've missed out on his work all these years *Smacks forehead* Thank god for technology and youtube.
And after some catching up, i've realised that this man had a very magnetic screen presence.⭐️⭐️
He dutifully charms his way into your heart, and mesmerizes you with his romance. I think it's safe to say how his romance feels so real that it translates out from the screen like it's happening in front of you. In the case of Humsafars, there was just something alluring about this character- Sahir.
I loved the dark character, brooding, curly haired, moody fashion mogul who despite of showcasing all of the before mentioned, was also scorchingly hot. I wanted to find out what exactly in his past that made this gorgeously sculptured man such a s(h)ulk 24x7 (Who could forget the famous forest scene where Sahir holds Arzoo and tells her to stay away from him. I remember i did not anticipate that scene and while he looked look like a serial killer on the run on one end, he was smouldering hot on the other. I remember gasping out loud because i totally didn't see that scene coming and i loved the intensity!)
Needlessly to say i was addicted to the show and that meant i needed to find a source that provided written updates because i couldn't wait till 12 hours for the repeat telecast
with subtitles. And that was how i came across this forum and it was just a matter of time before i was inspired by Harshad during one of the episodes and started to write
whenever i could.
Perhaps the writers meant to hold the suspense longer in the hope to retain the audience but when you hold the suspense too long, the audience get impatient but that's just my guess.
So just when i thought they might have decided to unravel the mystery instead of adding more layers, it now makes perfect sense now since the news is out officially. To say that I am disappointed will be an understatement but I can also imagine how the team must be feeling.
a commendable job for her first role. I have to give a special mention to the scene in which she would appear in a saree during a dinner date with Sahir.I thought that she looked delicately ethereal. Love, love, loved her entire look! This is just the beginning of a wonderful job Shivya. Keep it going!
And dearest Harshad, Thank you for enthralling us for the past 5 months through Humsafars. I could see that you have lived through the life of Sahir and have shown us his pain through his eyes and your vision. Thank you for inspiring me to write again after years with your mesmerizing performances. You've reignited a former love and I hope to continue to write whenever I can. For some reason, it was easier to write about Sahir and his intensity. 😊
It truly breaks my heart to even write this but I know its harder for you and your team. All I can say is that your fans have got your back as always and I have gotten a huge admiration for you and your passion towards perfecting your craft. Never give up on this journey and on behalf of your legion of fans, I wish you all the very best in your endeavours.
To all you guys who have been posting such lovely posts and leaving such amazing comments for the ones I've written, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is not goodbye as I'm pretty sure we'll bump into one another in another topic/ forum(one that involves Harshad of course) discussion. So don't be disheartened guys. Let's give the team the support that they need at this crucial time till the very end.
