I agree that slap was not needed. I had started to watch the show some months after it started, and by the time the slap came along, I had just caught up. But I really didnt think him slapping her was of any value and it was a stupid and unnecessary scene. What was it supposed to achieve exactly?

Also, Zoya bartering to save Nikhat's marriage? Height! Season 1 had some dumb s**t. Nikhat was also tortured by in laws, proven crazy through mind games and then left for dead. Even she was smothered with a pillow. There was violence against Badi Bi as well. She was kept under a bed, locked in a cupboard and hung from the ceiling. This is a women close to 70 we are talking about! A senior citizen and they showed HER being tortured like this? It was disgusting. Fake SR of Tanveer and Asad. Staged scene by Razia between Humeira and Ayaan. Again drugs were used.

Then Season 2. Once Sanam's Mother in law finds out her lineage, she makes multiple attempts on her life. Then comes the Polygamy BS. Making Sanam the servant of the house. Showing a marriage where the bride's identity is unknown as a Valid marriage by making the man accept said marriage. Pathetic.

The fake SR's with multiple druggings. Women are made to look like cheap S**t's by pretending they had sex with a man to trap him in a relationship. Violence against women is not the only issue here. Women are shown in a such a cheap and disgusting light. They fake SR with men and openly announce it and discuss it in a shameless manner as well. It's like these women have no standards at all. They are presented as Vamps, but even a women who is a Vamp can have some standards. But these have NONE!

So QH has done multiple crimes. It appears morality and decency are not something they wish to promote. They want to propagate violence against females, by females. They want to promote abuse of senior citizens, and women. Atiyachar by in laws. Want to show women as cheap wh**e's who will fake SR with men, and always try to pass off other men's children as theirs. Murder, Polygamy and cousin marriages, and now witchcraft. Every regressive idea is promoted. I am surprised this show is still running!

They should also get a warning from the Anti Superstition Cell for showing black magic;

The core issue with the Asad Zoya slap is that it was a behavior exhibited by the leading character who was supposed to be a positive figure. It was done to the female lead and it was presented as an acceptable behavior. It also generated support in the forum. These factors lead it to being an issue that needed to be addressed. When violence was exhibited with Tanveer trying to suffocate and hurt Sanam, we all agree that the behavior was wrong. There is no justification or support for these actions; no-one in the forum even attempts to rationalize, forgive or condone the behavior.

When Asad slapped Zoya, members romanticized it; said he had the right to do it - he had "haq" on her to slap her. It was trivialized and even sexualized. One member who is still active here said "Zoya liked it' and was turned on by it. Her post received an incredible amount of support.

Members were so angered when others said it was wrong that they requested threads and posts against the act to be closed and banned. The moderators of that time did not even support those who spoke out and favored those who supported the slap.

I have no issue with the silliness we see on QH...all that stuff happening to Babi Bi, no-one said it was acceptable. Tanveer and now Sanam2 faking that they had slept with the lead - no-one is supporting these characters behaviors as acceptable.

I hope when you read this, you will realize why the focus was on the slap and the slap alone. Unfortunately, this was never considered a serious issue by the public or the rest of the BCCC. It goes to show that violence in relationships is still considered an acceptable behavior among the Indian cultural mindset and it will be a long time before Indian women on television will be shown with dignity.

For now, QH2 has improved from QH1 when it comes to the lead characters. We can only hope that the CVs. producers and channel paid attention to our email.
