Sonam Kapoor files complaint after necklace worth Rs 5 lakh goes missing

Actress Sonam Kapoor reportedly filed a complain on February 5 after a necklace went missing from her home. Kapoor and her mother Sunita, according to sources, have filed the FIR under section 380 of the IPC.

The actress had reportedly come home from a party and placed the necklace in a drawer in her room. The necklace was part of the Rs 6 crore jewellery that had been given to her by a well-known jeweller. When the representatives of the jeweller came to collect the jewellery, the necklace was found missing.

The Juhu police have registered the complaint and have started investigations.

To add to her worries, the actress was also admitted to the hospital after contracting a respiratory infection recently.

How does it go missing from your own home? Other than family and trusted employees who else comes and goes from your house? Especially a bedroom which I'm assuming the mentioned drawer was. Is the FIR filed so the employees can be questioned legally?

And why be this irresponsible with a borrowed expensive piece of Jewlery?

Something about this whole story seems fishy. I wonder if she just lost it and is filing a complaint for insurance purposes, or to save face and still get loaners for the next award show.

No need to file a complain for missing necklace. Pretty sure Anil Kapoor might be hiding that necklace in his hairy chest.

Sonam Kapoor is not having the best of times. The actress has filed a complaint at the Juhu police station after a diamond necklace worth Rs.5 lakh went missing from her house.

Sonam along with mom Sunita Kapoor lodged an FIR on February 5 under section 380 of the IPC.

The Khoobsurat' star said that she wore the necklace to a party and kept it in a drawer in her room once she came back. It was part of Rs.6 crore worth of jewellery that she had been given by a renowned jeweller. When they came to collect it, she found the necklace missing.

At the Femina Beauty Awards, when Sonam was asked to comment on it, she said, "I am not allowed to talk about this right now."

To add to her woes, she recently suffered from respiratory infection while shooting for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' and was admitted to a hospital. She posted a pic of a saline drip on Twitter and said, "Hate being sick... Oowie."
