indian shows are getting more adult oriented now and bold with time. i use to watch kahin toh hoga, kasauti, kavyaanjali when i was a kid back then even had craze of those shows i got personal no's of many of those fav actors from respective shows i use to instantly call them (teen fantasies craze or what ever lolz),back then they were bold contents but not too much as it is now in this serial there is a scene of karen patel giving birth control product to her wife to make her realize what his feelings are , there is nothing wrong in it its the part of real married life but these dramas are being watched by kids as well it can affect their minds, as we were kids we use to watch those 2000 star plus dramas too . censor board should keep this in consideration as they are regarded as family dramas they should not show much of adultness and boldness on screen.

scenes such like this bother you..but no one seems to raise questions about such bogus scenes and dumb tracks? Does that not affect kids mind?? What is it teaching kids?? how to leave your 6 month old baby...and then come back to your ex? How to be a characterless woman ?? Indian Censor Board needs to get their priorties straight!

Not all serials are catered for a young audience. I think it's the responsibility of parents to ensure that their children aren't watching programmes that are not meant for their age.

I get your point TM but there was nothing wrong in that scene. The CVs don't have to be careful with what is shown in YHM...it is the duty of the parents to see what their kids are watching!
And this is supposed to be a mature love story. Key word here is mature :)

I don't agree with the TM's post. But it's simply a point of view folks! We should be more tolerant of differing thoughts :)

We as parents have to careful about what our kids are watching, but it is the serial makers responsibility too that they should show time slot appropriate content.
Matured story slot must be after 10:30 and not during prime time...we as parents would never flaunt contraceptive pack in front of our children, then why should they be exposed to such scenes on television?

I agree with the TM, this serial is watched by many children just for the little girl Ruhi. My 10 yr cousin is a big fan of her and she had watched almost all the episodes and her friends are also watching it. but these type of scenes or prop used, it make them curious and want to know about it.
As a parent, we restrict them not to watch MTV, CHANNEL V, BINDAS etc. shows as these are all about maturity content. But YHM is not like that.
And your view regarding MATURE LOVE STORY is true. But in India, there are less number of online viewers so what these show is all about they dont know about that as they donot read articles, interviews regarding the show. They watched show just for entertainment and time pass, not as a full time to anayze it from different angles.
so my POV is only this is they should avoid this type of scenes as these are family show.
BTW, now a days, YHM is all become shit and whats going on in the show we least bothered.

Kids today just need to latch on to a word and even if we monitor or restrict their internet usage, they can easily pick up the dictionary to find its meaning and connect the dots. No one ever restricts kids from using dictionaries... So when a pack of condoms is shown in serials or advertisements And they ask us what that is we might say it's a medicine or give some seemingly logical explaination, but they can easily find the meaning of that word in the dictionary. And baked knowledge in the hands of young kids is harmful.

To be honest, if they are kids, they won't understand the reason behind it. And if they do ask their parents, then it's up to them to explain to their kids.

U have objection to something like this? Then I wonder what u have to say when teens are raving about erotic novels. Scratch that. Many of them who write stories here are way too young n they write all baseless stuff with meaningless s** scenes thrown in n such stories get max likes. All u need these days to get readers attention is an 18+ or mature tag. Though what's really mature abt such immature stuff I donno 😆

I dont think what they r showing in the show is inappropriate. Many schools these days encourage sex education. My only question would be to the parents who let kids watch family drama. Thats far more appalling.
