Maya and her delusional world viewed with rose tinted glass

Well yesterday I got a peak into why Maya behaves the way she does. She too like Rudra craves for love. A child who has not at all seen her father and whose mother passed away at the tender age of 8 wants to be loved and appreciated. In other words you can say she wants to please everyone so that she has a sense of belonging. She doesn't want to lose anything she has. For that she only looks the world with rose tinted glass. Everything is good for her. Whatever she likes, she believes it is good only and can never be bad.
She trusts her mama, nanu and now Rudra. Girl has never tried to see anything bad about anyone because she loves to be in the happy cocoon she has built up for herself. Tapadayi Mai and Maimui has rightly guessed the innocence in that girl and her craving for love.
I would say it was a sweet gesture from Tapadayi Mayi to give her that Kangan. I guess after Maimui that is the truest form of affection Maya has received.
Now I guess the delusional world Maya has build up for herself is gonna break. With Nanu's revelation slowly that girl is gonna change. Now Rudra who is told by Shivanand that protecting Amrit is his mission will most probably choose Amrit over protecting Maya. That will be the last nail to the coffin of the delusional Maya.
As per mythology Yogamaya looks like a innocent baby girl in Devaki's lap. But when Kamsa ( her uncle) throws her to the wall she takes the form of Durga and we all know Durga is power personified incarnation of Goddess Parvati
Same is gonna happen with Maya. Maya who everyone thinks as a girl who can be deposed of will come back, come back as power personified by her experience, she will be hardened. Her death will be an illusion to all concerned. She will come at the most unexpected moment to change the course of the match. Rudra cannot save Amrit without her. But the condition which she is in she is of no help to Rudra. So Maya has to change to protect Rudra as well as the universe.

I guess she will play the roll of Sati in Rudra's life. Her death will trigger anger of Rudra.

@Mimi Maya is not what she appears to be that is what I feel is the meaning of the name. Rudra's anger is anyways triggered even without Maya. Her role will be more at channeling that anger at the right direction.
I mean Shivanad asks him to keep an eye on the mission of his life. Goal has to be achieved but it has to be achieved keeping the larger interest of the society in perspective. A Rudra having no softer emotions cannot achieve that. So she will be the one who will come back to balance things out when things are going out of control. Only thing I am telling is when she comes back she will not be like this, she will be her true self, the innate Shakthi she represents

Really very interesting post, on Maya and what may happen. If such is the case, then I look forward to a strong Maya rather than the self effacing one we are getting to see so far.

@kiran if Maya continues to be like this, don't think she can play an important part in the story other than being thrown around😃

Well-analyzed.
But the big point is how she got ready to bring Rudra. Is that right? Which young woman agrees to 'bring' a young man for her grand-father?
And when she asks Balivesh 'what if Rudra won't come', he says we will create situations that will make him come. 'Hum aisi paristhitiyaan...' etc. She even thinks about it once she is back in Prayag.
She still doesn't connect that Maimui's murder was that paristhiti that was created to move Rudra out of Varanasi and she was partially responsible for all this. She knows how Rudra is broken by his Mai's death but didn't seem to be affected by it. Truly delusional or apathetic?
The whole premise of Maya agreeing to this is not well written or well conveyed.

A very fresh and perceptive take on Maya, my dear Shruti, but then I have grown to expect this from you!

I agree in toto with your stand (1) about the way Maya is now and (2) that she has to change if she is to do Rudra any good in the climactic battle for the amrit.

The big question is What will trigger this change in her and how? And when? Rudra has no choice at all when the amrit is at risk, he has to choose his mission, even if by then he has started loving her. So she will have to do it all by herself. Let us see how they handle it.

Wonder if nanu or her mama had something to do with her mother's death and missing father considering nanu is ready to do away with maya and Rudra if needed.
