Mardaani' Rani Mukerji bags praises in Poland!
After gathering support from the critics for her daredevil performance in Yash Raj Films' Mardaani' (2014), Rani Mukerji recently went on to bag critical acclaim in Poland where the film premiered on January 28 at the Kino Muranow theatre in Warsaw which happens to be one of the oldest art house theatres in the European country.
The movie is slated to release on February 5, 2015 in theatres for the Polish audience.
Rani was delighted to receive s standing ovation from the viewers present during the premiere and everyone applauded her stand to play a role in a film dealing with such sensitive issue. Add to that, the presence of an otherwise reserved Polish DOP Artur Zurawski, the cinematographer of Mardaani', who was in attendance with his family to watch the movie, was another bright aspect of the movie screening.
The Pradeep Sarkar directorial venture got high critical acclaim in India and several critics tagged Rani's portrayal of a bold, strong and fearless cop as her best so far.
The film's release in Poland is significant as the European nation is infamous for child trafficking, prostitution racket, kidnapping and other crimes.
An excited Rani, who is presently staying in Poland for the movie's premiere, shared, "It was a very special day as Mardaani' released in Poland today..the response to the film by the polish people made the evening even more special..and it reiterates the fact that a good film finds an audience irrespective of the language in any part of the world as art doesn't have borders or barriers. I will cherish forever the love and adulation I received today from Poland .."
For the premiere event, Rani wore a Burberry dress and Gucci jacket with Dior earrings. She further accessorized her look with a pair of Zanotti shoes and a Versace clutch.
