Simran..what is she?

Haven't watched JR for long long time... But whatever episodes I watched, Simran who is Raj's mother is very nice lady...nice, caring n loving mother and wife of Mr. Khurana.

But in latest few episodes which I watched and read WU...it seems Simran transformed n took 360 degree turn...

What makes a loving n caring mother/mother-in-law to become such arrogant, selfish and self-centered woman who doesn't care about her Husband, Son and her loving daughter-in-law???

Can someone please brief me? If Simran was a positive character or negative or gray shaded? And why it is so?

she is blinded by her love and guilt krithika- her daughter...whom she left behind at a young age and marry mr khurana

Simran is suppose to be a positive character but her 360 degree turn is due to her blinded love for a girl claiming to be her daughter Kritika, who she left many moons ago. She's feeling guilty for having left her so she's trying to make up for that guilt but unfortunately she has turn into a mental case in the process.

Thanks a ton...its really sad that they turned a sweet loving caring mother into such dumb character... why every tv show they need female in negative character?
