Ishita Ganguly is an Indian television actress. She is currently seen in a Colors TV Drama Shastri Sisters. She is from Kolkata West Bengal. She has done Bengali TV shows before entering Shastri Sisters.
Biography
Ishita Ganguly was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India in 1991. She was raised in Kolkata. She has done her schooling from Annapurna Girls High School Kolkata. Ishita Ganguly has earlier acted in Bengali TV shows such as Mr Shingoroy, Annapurna and Bhasha. She been acting since the age of 13 and she has been a part of tele-films like Ekti Chhotto Meyer Golpo and Achena Manush. She was based in Kolkata but for Shastri Sisters she has moved to Mumbai with her mother.

According to her she got this show through Facebook. Makers of Shastri Sisters contacted her through FaceBook and asked her to send a video folio. She was later called to Mumbai for the final look test. She later came to Mumbai for a week to try her luck. That is how she got her first break in Hindi television show. She is fluent in Hindi and getting a help of Hindi teacher to get the Kanpuri accent right. She is very happy with her achievement and wants to make her name in acting.
She says Mumbai is more professional than Kolkata. She has a brother named Sumanta Ganguly. Sumanta is a casting Director at Shashi Sumeet Productions. Her final and ultimate goal is to do a Bollywood movie.
Her favourite actors are Shah Rukh and Salman Khan.
She loves to go out for movies and shopping in her free time. She also loves to dance and had enrolled herself in the Ganesh Acharya Dance Academy but could not attend it because of work load.
Her favorite holiday destination is Goa. She has never been to Goa. Her favorite food is Fish, be it Hilsa, Rohu or any fish. Like any other Bengali she loves sweets and alu posto (potato with poppy seeds).

Ishita Ganguly is currently playing the role of Anushka, the second of four sisters in the serial Shastri Sisters. She is the mother figure of the family.
She is also very close to her father. She is very protective about her family. According to Anushka she is exactly like Anushka.
Her character has similarities with her. Currently she is focused on her career and not dating anyone.
Rumour suggests that she has boyfriend in Kolkata but there is very little known about him.
Family
There is very little know about her family. She lives with her mother and brother in Mumbai, while her father stays in Kolkata. She says she misses her city Kolkata and her relatives. He also misses Durga Pooja Festival.
