Scene 1
The episode begins at a bungalow at night. A young girl Anjali is seen approaching it to work as a maid, and remembers how her friends had warned that the bungalow is haunted. The owners Tarun and Smitha are seen discussing about it. Tarun is worried that child labour is a crime, but Smitha says nobody will find out and besides nobody else is willing to work in that supposedly haunted bungalow. Anjali says she accepts all their rules, and Tarun assures she'll get her wages on time. Suddenly a girl screams from within, and the couple runs inside calling out for their daughter Vaani.
We see brief shots of a large hairy beast with claws and huge eyes. As they ascend up a tall spiral staircase, Vaani comes running down and we see bloody claw marks on her neck. She points to the top of the staircase where we hear low roaring sounds. Vaani's parents take her inside to tend her wounds. Anjali is intrigued and starts climbing the stairs, but Tarun stops her. When she asks how Vaani was injured, he brusquely tells her to either stop asking unnecessary questions or get out. We're shown that Anjali came there to work in order to feed her poor younger siblings. Tarun tells her to go sleep in the kitchen, and never think of ascending those stairs again.
Scene 2
We see Anjali lying awake in the kitchen and emotionally thinking of her little siblings Asha and Mohan. Suddenly, the roaring and growling sounds start again and Anjali slowly starts moving through the house to investigate. She remembers Tarun's warning, but still continues up the stairs onto the terrace, towards the source of the sound. Suddenly she comes across it - the large hairy clawed beast, and screams in terror as it starts approaching her.
Scene 3
We see Tarun lying dead outside the balcony, and the CID team comprising of our Trio, Freddy sir, Purvi, Shreya and Vansh investigating. 
He seems to have been killed by falling from the balcony. ACP sir says if he had committed suicide, he should've fallen on his ventral side. Thus, it looks like a murder. Abhijeet sir notes that he's been dead for about 5 hours, judging by rigor mortis. Daya sir notes scratch marks on his chest. The newspaper guy who had found the body informs them that Smitha and Vaani are nowhere to be seen. ACP sir decides to check the terrace with the duo and asks the others to search the bungalow. Abhijeet sir asks Vansh to send the body to the forensic lab. They spot a trail of blood on the stairs and construe Tarun was injured. ACP sir asks Freddy sir to collect those blood samples.
The trio finds more blood and several broken bangles on the terrace. They also find several large chains on the wall near a plate of food, and assert some animal was being held there. Daya sir finds a tuft of animal hair in the corner, and Abhijeet sir wonders if the marks on Tarun's chest were claw wounds. Daya sir says the broken bangles indicate Tarun's wife or daughter were attacked by the beast. They talk to the newspaper guy again, who says he never saw any indications of a beast being tethered there. Meanwhile, Smitha and Vaani are missing and Freddy sir worries that the killer may have abducted them. Purvi finds the maid's bed and clothes in the kitchen. The newspaper guy grows nervous on hearing about her. On being questioned, he says he was the one who got the 15 year old Anjali a job there, and it was her first day at work. He confesses child labour is a crime but she was in desperate need of money to take care of her younger siblings. Abhijeet sir asks for her address.
Scene 4
The newspaper guy leads Daya sir, Freddy sir, Jayawanti and Pankaj to Anjali's house. Her little siblings say she's not back home. Daya sir asks Jayawanti to search the house and Pankaj to take the kids aside. One of Anjali's friends Lata comes asking and they tell her about Tarun's murder and Anjali being missing. Daya sir sends Freddy sir and Pankaj to search all the houses in the chawl for Anjali. Lata says Anjali could never commit the murder, but Daya sir says they need to find her first to confirm.
Scene 5
In the bureau, the trio discusses that they've been able to find neither Anjali nor the motive of murder. Purvi informs that the bungalow was registered to Tarun's father, who lives in the USA and Tarun had shifted there 3 years ago, and he wasn't very social according to the neighbours. Daya sir says Lata told them the bungalow is haunted and people who go to work there never return. Sachin sir enters saying a weird file has been found at Tarun's place - where he kept details of all his relatives. The duo notes only one of them lives in Mumbai whereas the others are outside India, and decide to meet him. ACP sir gets a call from Dr. Salunkhe.
Scene 6
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe informs our trio and Freddy sir that it's hard to know whether Tarun was killed before being thrown off the balcony or not. He also adds that they've found a mixture of rat 
and human DNA in the blood found on the stairs and on the terrace chains, and they start construing that it's some kind of creature that's half human and half rat. Pankaj starts telling stories about some demonic rat. The cops say the blood on the stairs wasn't Tarun's but that creature's, which was wounded and is apparently on the loose now. ACP sir says they need to find it before it harms anyone.
Scene 7
We see the great beast hunched in a shady place, and someone approaching it with a plate of food.
Scene 8
We see Abhijeet sir, Purvi, Shreya and Vansh at the bottom of the staircase in the bungalow. Abhijeet sir says the monster rat story was invented to hide some secret in there, and that they must find Anjali in order to save Smitha and Vaani. They decide to search the entire place inside and outside for clues.
Scene 9
We see ACP sir, Sachin sir and Nikhil meeting Tarun's cousin and his wife, who say Tarun had turned really arrogant after moving to the USA and never visited them after coming there. He shows a childhood photograph, where ACP sir notes Tarun had 6 fingers. Growing suspicious, he asks Sachin sir to show him the grown Tarun and his family's photo. The cousins recognize neither Tarun nor Smitha or Vaani. They show a recent photo of those people, who're completely different. ACP sir says the entire family they had been concerned with is a fraud.
Scene 10
At nighttime, Abhijeet sir and the ladies are seen following a trail of blood outside the bungalow, until it abruptly stops. They split up to search further. Abhijeet sir finds a deserted house with tin sheets at a distance. They search it and find a plate of food there, and construe the beast was being held there.
Scene 11
We see Daya sir, Jayawanti, Freddy sir and Pankaj disguised as chawl people to keep an eye on Lata's house. Daya sir firmly tells Jayawanti to keep herself awake. They see Lata visiting Anjali's house to feed her siblings. There is an embarrassing scene of Freddy sir and Pankaj being chased by dogs. 🤢 Suddenly, a great fire breaks out from Anjali's house, and at once the cops rush to help. Jayawanti saves Anjali and Asha while Daya sir heroically carries Mohan out through the flames. 👏 👏 His hand gets burned and Freddy sir shows much concern. Lata says before the fire broke out, she saw Anjali peeking in through the window. Daya sir says she could never want to harm her own siblings.
Scene 12
Purvi receives a call from Freddy sir informing about the fire, and passes on the message to Abhijeet sir.
Scene 13
Daya sir talks on phone to Abhijeet sir about the fire, while shooting a look at Freddy sir for informing him about his hand burn (loved this little part 😳 😃). They approach the window from where Anjali had been peeking inside. Jayawanti finds a piece of bangle there, identical to those they found on the terrace. Daya sir construes someone forcefully dragged Anjali from there. They follow a trail of drag marks from there and soon meet Abhijeet sir, Purvi and Shreya up the path. They search nearby and soon Freddy sir comes across the beast, who attacks him. The others come to his assistance and tackle the "beast", who turns out to be a normal man with overgrown hair and wounded and scared, not aggressive. They calm him down and call an ambulance for him. The man requests them to save Anjali, who saved him from some evil people who've now abducted her.
Scene 14
We see two goons preparing to throw Anjali over a cliff, when the duo and the ladies come up to confront them. As the duo try to talk down the thugs, they gesture Purvi to flank them from behind. Purvi complies but accidentally dislodges a rock on her way, alerting the thugs who throw Anjali over the cliff. Anjali barely manages to cling on to a plastic pipe hanging from the edge. Purvi immediately goes down to help her while the duo defeat the goons in battle. Anjali starts losing grip on the pipe, but the duo hold it up straight and Purvi grabs her hand and safely moves her up first before being helped up. 👏 👏 Anjali thanks her and reveals that Smitha and Vaani were behind it all, they ordered the goons to attack her saying she's responsible for killing Tarun. Shreya and Jayawanti catch them and slap them hard.
Scene 15
Abhijeet sir demands why they had been holding the man Aakash hostage on the terrace. In a flashback, it's revealed that Anjali on spotting Aakash on the terrace, realized he's not a beast and proceed to break his chains and freed him. Tarun and Smitha came up and saw it; Tarun attacked her in anger and Aakash knocked him down the terrace to defend her. Smitha and Vaani confess Aakash was the real Tarun's father, who was suffering from memory loss. Taking advantage of that, they held him hostage and took the place of his real family, who had died in an accident in the USA long back. They set Anjali's house on fire to lure her there and get a chance to capture both her and Aakash. Daya sir says both of them will be harshly punished for their deeds.
Scene 16
We see Anjali taking care of Mr. Aakash in the hospital, while ACP sir, Shreya, Sachin sir and Nikhil watch. Dr. Salunkhe comes up and informs that Aakash is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, and is so weak that he couldn't defend himself from the rats biting him on the terrace, which is why rat DNA was found in his blood (not a very good explanation, I feel) and he was bleeding profusely when descending the stairs. ACP sir praises Anjali for bravely and selflessly saving Aakash. Anjali requests him to help her find a job somewhere. ACP sir disagrees and says she must now go to school, and the CID will take care of her siblings. Anjali happily hugs him. 🤗
