I say that Dumbledore told Snape to kill him. Before Dumbledore died, he said "Please". We don't know just yet if that "Please" was to kill him or not to kill.

it is known from the first book where D said to harry that for ppl like nicolos piramel and he ,DEATH IS NOTHING BUT A REST B'FORE ANOTHER JOURNEY OF THE MIND.PPL LIKE HIM ARE NOT AFRAID OF DEATH......
so it is clear that D was not pleading to snape to let him go and not kill him....he was ofcourse not pleading for his life.....

i agree...i believe that Dumbledore begged Snapes to take his life. I remember reading in one or the same chapter that when harry looked down upon Dumbledore, he noticed Dumbledore looked as if he was smiling.

actually u guys will remember tht hagrid saw snape and dumbledore talkin... and he heard snape say tht he can't take it any more.. so it must hav been tht dumbledore told snape to pretent tht he was on voldy's side.. and it must hav been a plan between snape and dumbledore.. and dumbledore can come back in da 7 th book they jus want to show voldy tht he is dead( dumbledore)... whereas sirius.. 😭 😭 😭.. he is dead... i only wish he could come back.. and 4 the 4 th movie.. i can't wait anymore.. want to want to want to c it... 😆 😆

hi i think dumbledore and snape had that occulmency and legilimess thing( cant rem the spelling sorry)
as my good friend kets told me they talkd in silence in the end where dumbledore asks snape to kill him. coz if he wont draco wud be dead and snape had made unbreakable vow. dumbledore wants snape to help harry its still not clear why dumbledore trusted snape. he did tell harry his reasons but seems that is not enough
there is more to it..

I think that it was Snape's and Dumbledore's plan, so that Voldemort would trust Snape even more and give him all the info, which Snape could later pass to Order of Phoenix. Dumbledore trusted Snape with his life, so he couldn't be wrong. And, Dumbledore isn't someone who would plead to live. And, he believes that you should sacrifice a older person instead of a younger person, and if he hadn't died, Snape would have to die, so he died instead of Snape.
